²³ He bringeth the princes to nothing, and maketh the iudges of the earth, as vanitie,

²¹ He powreth contempt vpon princes, and maketh the strength of the mightie weake.

¹⁹ How much lesse to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, and regardeth not the rich, more then the poore? for they be all the worke of his handes. ²⁰ They shall die suddenly, and the people shalbe troubled at midnight, and they shall passe foorth and take away the mightie without hand.

¹² He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the Kings of the earth.

¹³ The princes of Zoan are become fooles: the princes of Noph are deceiued, they haue deceiued Egypt, euen the corners of the tribes thereof. ¹⁴ The Lord hath mingled among them the spirite of errours: and they haue caused Egypt to erre in euery worke thereof, as a drunken man erreth in his vomite.

⁹ The Lord of hostes hath decreed this, to staine the pride of all glorie, and to bring to contempt all them that be glorious in the earth.

²¹ And in that day shall the Lord visite the hoste aboue that is on hie, euen the Kinges of the world that are vpon the earth. ²² And they shall be gathered together, as the prisoners in the pit: and they shall be shut vp in the prison, and after many daies shall they be visited.

¹² The nobles thereof shall call to the kingdome, and there shalbe none, and all the princes thereof shalbe as nothing.

¹⁸ Euen Ierusalem, and the cities of Iudah, and the Kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them desolate, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse, as appeareth this day: ¹⁹ Pharaoh also, King of Egypt, and his seruants, and his princes, and all his people: ²⁰ And all sortes of people, and all the Kings of the lande of Vz: and all the Kings of the lande of the Philistims, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod: ²¹ Edom, and Moab, and the Ammonites, ²² And all the Kings of Tyrus, and all the kings of Zidon, and the Kings of the Yles, that are beyonde the Sea, ²³ And Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that dwell in the vttermost corners, ²⁴ And all the Kings of Arabia, and all the Kings of Arabia, that dwell in the desert, ²⁵ And all the Kings of Zimri, and all the Kings of Elam, and all the Kings of the Medes, ²⁶ And all the Kings of the North, farre and neere one to another, and all the kingdomes of the worlde, which are vpon the earth, and the king of Sheshach shall drinke after them. ²⁷ Therefore say thou vnto them, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Drinke and bee drunken, and spewe and fall, and rise no more, because of the sworde, which I will sende among you.

⁵¹ Hee hath shewed strength with his arme: hee hath scattered the proude in the imagination of their hearts. ⁵² Hee hath put downe the mighty from their seates, and exalted them of lowe degree.

¹⁸ That ye may eate the flesh of Kings, and the flesh of hie Captaines, and the flesh of mightie men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all freemen, and bondmen, and of small and great. ¹⁹ And I sawe the beast, and the Kings of the earth, and their hostes gathered together to make battell against him that sate on the horse, and against his armie. ²⁰ But ye beast was taken, and with him that false prophet that wrought miracles before him, whereby he deceiued them that receiued ye beastes marke, and them that worshipped his image. These both were aliue cast into a lake of fire, burning with brimstone.
