⁹ The triall of their countenance testifieth against them, yea, they declare their sinnes as Sodom, they hide them not. Wo be vnto their soules: for they haue rewarded euil vnto themselues.

¹³ Now the men of Sodom were wicked and exceeding sinners against the Lord.

²⁰ Then the Lord saide, Because the crie of Sodom and Gomorah is great, and because their sinne is exceeding grieuous, ²¹ I will goe downe nowe, and see whether they haue done altogether according to that crie which is come vnto me: and if not, that I may knowe.

⁵ Who crying vnto Lot said to him, Where are the men, which came to thee this night? bring them out vnto vs that we may knowe them. ⁶ Then Lot went out at the doore vnto them, and shut the doore after him, ⁷ And said, I pray you, my brethren, do not so wickedly. ⁸ Beholde nowe, I haue two daughters, which haue not knowen man: them will I bring out now vnto you, and doe to them as seemeth you good: onely vnto these men doe nothing: for therefore are they come vnder the shadowe of my roofe. ⁹ Then they said, Away hence, and they said, He is come alone as a stranger, and shall he iudge and rule? we will nowe deale worse with thee then with them. So they preassed sore vpon Lot himselfe, and came to breake the doore.

³² Then saide Samuel, Bring yee hither to me Agag ye King of the Amalekites: and Agag came vnto him pleasantly, and Agag saide, Truely the bitternesse of death is passed.

³⁰ And when Iehu was come to Izreel, Iezebel heard of it, and painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a windowe.

⁴ The wicked is so proude that hee seeketh not for God: hee thinketh alwayes, There is no God.

⁶ Therefore pride is as a chayne vnto them, and crueltie couereth them as a garment. ⁷ Their eyes stande out for fatnesse: they haue more then heart can wish.

¹³ There is a generation, whose eies are hautie, and their eye liddes are lifted vp.

¹⁶ The Lord also saith, Because the daughters of Zion are hautie, and walke with stretched out neckes, and with wandering eyes, walking and minsing as they goe, and making a tinkeling with their feete,

³ Therefore the showres haue beene restrained, and the latter raine came not, and thou haddest a whores forehead: thou wouldest not bee ashamed.

¹⁵ Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not ashamed, no neither coulde they haue any shame: therefore they shall fall among the slaine: when I shall visite them, they shall be cast downe, sayth the Lord.

¹⁶ The worde that thou hast spoken vnto vs in the Name of the Lord, wee will not heare it of thee, ¹⁷ But wee will doe whatsoeuer thing goeth out of our owne mouth, as to burne incense vnto the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings vnto her, as we haue done, both we and our fathers, our Kings and our princes in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem: for then had wee plentie of vitailes and were well and felt none euill.

¹⁶ The crowne of our head is fallen: wo nowe vnto vs, that we haue sinned.

¹⁶ Assoone, I say, as she sawe them, she doted vpon them, and sent messengers vnto them into Caldea.

²⁰ Also to know of the tenne hornes that were in his head, and of the other which came vp, before whome three fell, and of the horne that had eyes, and of the mouth that spake presumptuous thinges, whose looke was more stoute then his fellowes.

⁹ O Israel, one hath destroyed thee, but in me is thine helpe.

²³ For the wages of sinne is death: but the gift of God is eternall life, through Iesus Christ our Lord.
