¹⁴ The Lord shall enter into iudgement with the Ancients of his people and the princes thereof: for ye haue eaten vp the vineyarde: the spoyle of the poore is in your houses.

⁴ Is it for feare of thee that he will accuse thee? or go with thee into iudgement?

² Some remoue the land marks, that rob the flockes and feede thereof. ³ They leade away the asse of the fatherles: and take the widowes oxe to pledge. ⁴ They make the poore to turne out of the way, so that the poore of the earth hide themselues together. ⁵ Behold, others as wilde asses in the wildernesse, goe forth to their businesse, and rise early for a praye: the wildernesse giueth him and his children foode. ⁶ They reape his prouision in the fielde, but they gather the late vintage of the wicked. ⁷ They cause the naked to lodge without garment, and without couering in the colde.

⁹ They plucke the fatherles from the breast, and take the pledge of the poore.

²³ For he will not lay on man so much, that he should enter into iudgement with God.

⁴ Doe not all the workers of iniquitie know that they eate vp my people, as they eate bread? they call not vpon the Lord.

² The strong man, and the man of warre, the iudge and the prophet, the prudent and the aged, ³ The captaine of fiftie, and the honourable, and the counseller, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent man.

⁷ Surely the vineyard of the Lord of hostes is the house of Israel, and the men of Iudah are his pleasant plant, and hee looked for iudgement, but beholde oppression: for righteousnesse, but beholde a crying.

²⁷ As a cage is full of birdes, so are their houses full of deceite: thereby they are become great and waxen riche.

¹ Heare this worde, ye kine of Bashan that are in the mountaine of Samaria, which oppresse the poore, and destroy the needie, and they say to their masters, Bring, and let vs drinke.

² And they couet fields, and take them by violence, and houses, and take them away: so they oppresse a man and his house, euen man and his heritage.

¹⁰ Are yet the treasures of wickednes in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure, that is abominable?

³³ Heare another parable, There was a certaine housholder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and made a winepresse therein, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a strange countrey.

⁶ But ye haue despised the poore. Doe not the riche oppresse you by tyrannie, and doe not they drawe you before the iudgement seates?
