¹³ Thou art of pure eyes, and canst not see euill: thou canst not behold wickednesse: wherefore doest thou looke vpon the transgressors, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked deuoureth the man, that is more righteous then he?

¹¹ How much more, when wicked men haue slaine a righteous person in his owne house, and vpon his bed? shall I not now therfore require his blood at your hand, and take you from the earth?

³² And the Lord shall bring his blood vpon his owne head: for he smote two men more righteous and better then he, and slew them with the sword, and my father Dauid knew not: to wit, Abner the sonne of Ner, captaine of the hoste of Israel, and Amasa the sonne of Iether captaine of the hoste of Iudah.

¹⁴ For if thou holdest thy peace at this time, comfort and deliuerance shall appeare to the Iewes out of another place, but thou and thy fathers house shall perish: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdome for such a time?

¹⁵ Beholde, he founde no stedfastnesse in his Saintes: yea, the heauens are not cleane in his sight.

⁴ For thou art not a God that loueth wickednes: neither shall euill dwell with thee. ⁵ The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: for thou hatest all them that worke iniquitie.

¹ Why standest thou farre off, O Lord, and hidest thee in due time, euen in affliction? ² The wicked with pride doeth persecute the poore: let them be taken in the craftes that they haue imagined.

¹⁵ Breake thou the arme of the wicked and malicious: searche his wickednes, and thou shalt finde none.

⁴ The Lord is in his holy palace: the Lordes throne is in the heauen: his eyes wil consider: his eye lids will try the children of men. ⁵ The Lord will try the righteous: but the wicked and him that loueth iniquitie, doeth his soule hate. ⁶ Vpon the wicked he shall raine snares, fire, and brimstone, and stormie tempest: this is the porcion of their cup. ⁷ For the righteous Lord loueth righteousnes: his countenance doeth beholde the iust.

¹⁵ The eyes of the Lord are vpon the righteous, and his eares are open vnto their crie. ¹⁶ But the face of the Lord is against them that doe euill, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.

²² Thou hast seene it, O Lord: keepe not silence: be not farre from me, O Lord.

¹² The wicked practiseth against the iust, and gnasheth his teeth against him. ¹³ But the Lord shall laugh him to scorne: for he seeth, that his day is comming. ¹⁴ The wicked haue drawen their sworde, and haue bent their bowe, to cast downe the poore and needie, and to slay such as be of vpright conuersation. ¹⁵ But their sword shall enter into their owne heart, and their bowes shalbe broken.

³² The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. ³³ But the Lord wil not leaue him in his hand, nor condemne him, when he is iudged.

³ Our God shall come and shall not keepe silence: a fire shall deuoure before him, and a mightie tempest shall be mooued round about him.

²¹ These things hast thou done, and I held my tongue: therefore thou thoughtest that I was like thee: but I will reproue thee, and set them in order before thee.

¹ Woe to thee that spoylest, and wast not spoyled: and doest wickedly, and they did not wickedly against thee: when thou shalt cease to spoyle, thou shalt be spoyled: when thou shalt make an ende of doing wickedly, they shall doe wickedly against thee.

¹² Wilt thou holde thy selfe still at these things, O Lord? wilt thou holde thy peace and afflict vs aboue measure?

¹ O Lord, if I dispute with thee, thou art righteous: yet let mee talke with thee of thy iudgements: wherefore doeth the way of the wicked prosper? why are all they in wealth that rebelliously transgresse? ² Thou hast planted them, and they haue taken roote: they grow, and bring forth fruite: thou art neere in their mouth, and farre from their reines.

³ Why doest thou shewe mee iniquitie, and cause me to beholde sorowe? for spoyling, and violence are before me: and there are that rayse vp strife and contention. ⁴ Therefore the Lawe is dissolued, and iudgement doeth neuer go forth: for the wicked doeth compasse about the righteous: therefore wrong iudgement proceedeth.

²³ Him, I say, being deliuered by the determinate counsell, and foreknowledge of God, after you had taken, with wicked handes you haue crucified and slaine.

¹³ The God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Iacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his Sonne Iesus, whom ye betrayed, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had iudged him to be deliuered. ¹⁴ But ye denied the Holy one and the Iust, and desired a murtherer to be giuen you, ¹⁵ And killed the Lord of life, whome God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.

¹⁵ But as hee which hath called you, is holie, so be yee holie in all maner of conuersation; ¹⁶ Because it is written, Be yee holie, for I am holie.
