¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heauen, to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signes, and for seasons, and for dayes and yeeres.

²² Hereafter seede time and haruest, and colde and heate, and sommer and winter, and day and night shall not cease, so long as ye earth remaineth.

¹³ I haue set my bowe in the cloude, and it shalbe for a signe of the couenant betweene me and the earth.

¹⁹ And lest thou lift vp thine eyes vnto heauen, and when thou seest the sunne and the moone and the starres with all the host of heauen, shouldest bee driuen to worship them and serue them, which the Lord thy God hath distributed to all people vnder the whole heauen.

⁹ Let the starres of that twilight be dimme through darkenesse of it: let it looke for light, but haue none: neither let it see the dawning of the day,

³ Is there any nomber in his armies? and vpon whom shall not his light arise?

⁵ Behold, he wil giue no light to the moone, and the starres are vncleane in his sight.

¹² Hast thou commanded the morning since thy dayes? hast thou caused the morning to knowe his place, ¹³ That it might take hold of the corners of the earth, and that the wicked might be shaken out of it? ¹⁴ It is turned as clay to facion, and all stand vp as a garment.

³¹ Canst thou restraine the sweete influences of the Pleiades? or loose the bandes of Orion? ³² Canst thou bring foorth Mazzaroth in their time? canst thou also guide Arcturus with his sonnes?

³ When I beholde thine heauens, euen the workes of thy fingers, the moone and the starres which thou hast ordeined, ⁴ What is man, say I, that thou art mindefull of him? and the sonne of man, that thou visitest him?

¹ To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The heauens declare the glory of God, and the firmament sheweth ye worke of his hands. ² Day vnto day vttereth the same, and night vnto night teacheth knowledge. ³ There is no speach nor language, where their voyce is not heard. ⁴ Their line is gone forth through all the earth, and their words into the endes of the world: in them hath he set a tabernacle for the sunne. ⁵ Which commeth forth as a bridegrome out of his chamber, and reioyceth like a mightie man to runne his race. ⁶ His going out is from the ende of the heauen, and his compasse is vnto the endes of ye same, and none is hid from the heate thereof.

¹⁶ The day is thine, and the night is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sunne. ¹⁷ Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.

³ Blowe the trumpet in the newe moone, euen in the time appointed, at our feast day.

¹⁹ He appoynted the moone for certaine seasons: the sunne knoweth his going downe. ²⁰ Thou makest darkenesse, and it is night, wherein all the beastes of the forest creepe forth.

³ Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres.

⁶ And he hath established them for euer and euer: he hath made an ordinance, which shall not passe.

²⁶ Lift vp your eyes on hie, and beholde who hath created these things, and bringeth out their armies by nomber, and calleth them all by names? by the greatnesse of his power and mightie strength nothing faileth.

² Thus saith the Lord, Learne not the way of the heathen, and be not afraid for the signes of heauen, though the heathen be afraid of such.

³⁵ Thus saith the Lord, which giueth the sunne for a light to the day, and the courses of the moone and of the starres for a light to the night, which breaketh the sea, when the waues thereof roare: his Name is the Lord of hostes.

²⁰ Thus sayth the Lord, If you can breake my couenant of the day, and my couenant of the night, that there should not be day, and night in their season,

²⁵ Thus sayth the Lord, If my couenant be not with day and night, and if I haue not appointed the order of heauen and earth,

⁷ And when I shall put thee out, I will couer the heauen, and make the starres thereof darke: I will couer the sunne with a cloude, and the moone shall not giue her light. ⁸ All the lightes of heauen will I make darke for thee, and bring darkenesse vpon thy lande, sayeth the Lord God.

¹ Thus sayth the Lord God, The gate of the inner court, that turneth toward the East, shall be shut the sixe working dayes: but on the Sabbath it shalbe opened, and in the day of the newe moone it shalbe opened.

⁶ And in the day of the newe moone it shall be a yong bullocke without blemish, and sixe lambes and a ram: they shalbe without blemish.

¹⁰ The earth shall tremble before him, ye heauens shall shake, the sunne and the moone shalbe darke, and the starres shall withdraw their shining,

³⁰ And I will shewe wonders in the heauens and in the earth: blood and fire, and pillars of smoke. ³¹ The sunne shalbe turned into darkenesse, and the moone into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

¹⁵ The sunne and moone shalbe darkened, and the starres shall withdrawe their light.

⁸ He maketh Pleiades, and Orion, and he turneth the shadowe of death into the morning, and he maketh the day darke as night: he calleth the waters of the sea, and powreth them out vpon the open earth: the Lord is his Name.

⁹ And in that day, saith the Lord God, I will euen cause the sunne to go downe at noone: and I will darken the earth in the cleare day.

² Saying, Where is that King of the Iewes that is borne? for wee haue seene his starre in the East, and are come to worship him.

² But he answered, and said vnto them, When it is euening, ye say, Faire wether: for ye skie is red. ³ And in the morning ye say, To day shall be a tempest: for the skie is red and lowring. O hypocrites, ye can discerne the face of the skie, and can ye not discerne the signes of the times?

²⁹ And immediatly after ye tribulations of those dayes, shall the sunne be darkened, and the moone shall not giue her light, and the starres shall fal from heauen, and ye powers of heaue shalbe shake.

²⁴ Moreouer in those dayes, after that tribulation, the sunne shall waxe darke, and ye moone shall not giue her light,

²⁵ Then there shalbe signes in the sunne, and in the moone, and in the starres, and vpon the earth trouble among the nations with perplexitie: the sea and the waters shall roare. ²⁶ And mens hearts shall faile them for feare, and for looking after those thinges which shall come on the worlde: for the powers of heauen shall be shaken.

⁴⁵ And the Sunne was darkened, and the vaile of the Temple rent through the middes.

¹⁹ And I wil shew wonders in heauen aboue, and tokens in the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and the vapour of smoke. ²⁰ The Sunne shalbe turned into darkenesse, and the moone into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come.

¹² And I behelde when hee had opened the sixt seale, and loe, there was a great earthquake, and the sunne was as blacke as sackecloth of heare, and the moone was like blood.

¹² And the fourth Angel blew the trumpet, and the thirde part of the sunne was smitten, and the thirde part of the moone, and the thirde part of the starres, so that the thirde part of them was darkened: and the day was smitten, that the thirde part of it could not shine, and likewise the night.

² And he opened the bottomlesse pit, and there arose the smoke of the pit, as the smoke of a great fornace, and the sunne, and the ayre were darkened by the smoke of the pit.
