⁴ But let euery man prooue his owne worke: and then shall he haue reioycing in himselfe onely and not in another.

¹⁵ Loe, though he slay me, yet will I trust in him, and I will reprooue my wayes in his sight.

² Proue me, O Lord, and trie mee: examine my reines, and mine heart.

¹⁴ The heart that declineth, shall be saciate with his owne wayes: but a good man shall depart from him.

¹¹ The Pharise stoode and prayed thus with himselfe, O God, I thanke thee that I am not as other men, extortioners, vniust, adulterers, or euen as this Publican.

¹² Nowe this I say, that euery one of you saith, I am Pauls, and I am Apollos, and I am Cephas, and I am Christs. ¹³ Is Christ deuided? was Paul crucified for you? either were ye baptized into the name of Paul?

²¹ Therefore let no man reioyce in men: for all things are yours. ²² Whether it be Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death: whether they be things present, or thinges to come, euen all are yours, ²³ And ye Christes, and Christ Gods.

³ As touching me, I passe very litle to be iudged of you, or of mans iudgement: no, I iudge not mine owne selfe. ⁴ For I know nothing by my selfe, yet am I not thereby iustified: but he that iudgeth me, is the Lord.

⁶ Nowe these things, brethren, I haue figuratiuely applied vnto mine owne selfe and Apollos, for your sakes, that ye might learne by vs, that no man presume aboue that which is written, that one swell not against another for any mans cause. ⁷ For who separateth thee? and what hast thou, that thou hast not receiued? if thou hast receiued it, why reioycest thou, as though thou haddest not receiued it?

²⁸ Let euery man therefore examine himselfe, and so let him eate of this bread, and drinke of this cup.

¹² For our reioycing is this, the testimonie of our conscience, that in simplicitie and godly purenesse, and not in fleshly wisedome, but by the grace of God wee haue had our conuersation in the worlde, and most of all to you wardes.

¹² But what I doe, that will I doe: that I may cut away occasion from them which desire occasion, that they might be found like vnto vs in that wherein they reioyce. ¹³ For such false apostles are deceitfull workers, and transforme themselues into the Apostles of Christ.

⁵ Proue your selues whether ye are in the faith: examine your selues: knowe yee not your owne selues, howe that Iesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

¹³ For they themselues which are circumcised keepe not the law, but desire to haue you circumcised, that they might reioyce in your flesh.

¹⁹ For thereby we know that we are of the trueth, and shall before him assure our hearts. ²⁰ For if our heart condemne vs, God is greater then our heart, and knoweth all things. ²¹ Beloued, if our heart condemne vs not, then haue we boldnes toward God. ²² And whatsoeuer we aske we receiue of him, because we keepe his commandements, and do those things which are pleasing in his sight.
