²⁶ Thus saith the Lord God, I will take away the diademe, and take off the crowne: this shalbe no more the same: I wil exalt the humble, and will abase him that is hie.

⁷ The Lord maketh poore and maketh rich: bringeth lowe, and exalteth. ⁸ He raiseth vp ye poore out of the dust, and lifteth vp the begger from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherite the seate of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lordes, and he hath set the world vpon them.

⁶ Then they tooke the King, and caried him vp to the King of Babel to Riblah, where they gaue iudgement vpon him.

²⁷ Notwithstanding in the seuen and thirtieth yeere after Iehoiachin King of Iudah was caried away, in the twelft moneth and the seuen and twentieth day of the moneth, Euil-merodach King of Babel in the yeere that hee began to reigne, did lift vp the head of Iehoiachin King of Iudah out of the prison,

⁷ But God is the iudge: he maketh lowe and he maketh hie.

⁷ He raiseth the needie out of the dust, and lifteth vp the poore out of the dung, ⁸ That he may set him with the princes, euen with the princes of his people.

¹⁸ Say vnto the King and to the Queene, Humble yourselues, sit downe, for the crowne of your glory shall come downe from your heads.

⁶ Then the King of Babel slewe the sonnes of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the King of Babel slewe all the nobles of Iudah. ⁷ Moreouer he put out Zedekiahs eyes, and bound him in chaines, to cary him to Babel.

⁹ Then they tooke the king and caryed him vp vnto the king of Babel to Riblah in the lande of Hamath, where he gaue iudgement vpon him. ¹⁰ And the king of Babel slewe the sonnes of Zedekiah, before his eyes he slew also al ye princes of Iudah in Riblah. ¹¹ Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and the king of Babel bound him in chaines, and caried him to Babel, and put him in pryson till the day of his death.

³¹ And in the seuen and thirtieth yeere of the captiuitie of Iehoiachin King of Iudah, in the twelfth moneth, in the fiue and twentieth day of the moneth, Euil-merodach King of Babel, in the first yeere of his reigne, lifted vp the head of Iehoiachin King of Iudah, and brought him out of pryson, ³² And spake kindly vnto him, and set his throne aboue the throne of the Kings, that were with him in Babel, ³³ And changed his pryson garmentes, and he did continually eate bread before him all the dayes of his life. ³⁴ His porcion was a continuall portion giuen him of ye king of Babel, euery day a certaine, all the dayes of his life vntill he died.

¹⁶ The crowne of our head is fallen: wo nowe vnto vs, that we haue sinned.

¹² And the chiefest that is among them, shall beare vpon his shoulder in the darke, and shall goe forth: they shall digge through the wall, to cary out thereby: he shall couer his face, that he see not the ground with his eies. ¹³ My net also will I spread vpon him, and he shall be taken in my net, and I will bring him to Babel to the lande of the Caldeans, yet shall he not see it, though he shall dye there.

¹² And I put a frontlet vpon thy face, and earings in thine eares, and a beautifull crowne vpon thine head.

²⁴ And all the trees of the fielde shall knowe that I the Lord haue brought downe the hie tree, and exalted the lowe tree, that I haue dried vp the greene tree, and made the drie tree to florish: I the Lord haue spoken it, and haue done it.

⁵² Hee hath put downe the mighty from their seates, and exalted them of lowe degree.
