⁹ If Pharaoh speake vnto you, saying, Shewe a miracle for you, then thou shalt say vnto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shalbe turned into a serpent.

² And the Lord said vnto him, What is that in thine hande? And he answered, A rod.

¹⁷ Moreouer thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do miracles.

²⁰ Then Moses tooke his wife, and his sonnes, and put them on an asse, and returned towarde the lande of Egypt, and Moses tooke the rod of God in his hand.

¹⁰ Then went Moses and Aaron vnto Pharaoh, and did euen as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast forth his rod before Pharaoh and before his seruants, and it was turned into a serpent. ¹¹ Then Pharaoh called also for the wise men and sorcerers: and those charmers also of Egypt did in like maner with their enchantmens, ¹² For they cast downe euery man his rod, and they were turned into serpents: but Aarons rodde deuoured their rods.

²³ Then Moses stretched out his rod towarde heauen, and the Lord sent thunder and haile, and lightening vpon the ground: and the Lord caused haile to raine vpon the land of Egypt.

¹³ Then Moses stretched foorth his rod vpon the lande of Egypt: and the Lord brought an East winde vpon the land all that day, and al that night: and in the morning the East wind brought the grashoppers.

¹² Euen God is my King of olde, working saluation in the middes of the earth. ¹³ Thou didest deuide the sea by thy power: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.

¹¹ Aske a signe for thee of the Lord thy God: aske it, either in the depth beneath or in the height aboue.

³ Speake, and say, Thus sayth the Lord God, Beholde, I come against thee, Pharaoh King of Egypt, the great dragon, that lieth in the middes of his riuers, which hath saide, The riuer is mine, and I haue made it for my selfe.

³⁹ But he answered and said to them, An euill and adulterous generation seeketh a signe, but no signe shall be giuen vnto it, saue that signe of the Prophet Ionas.

¹⁸ Then answered the Iewes, and saide vnto him, What signe shewest thou vnto vs, that thou doest these things?

³⁰ They sayde therefore vnto him, What signe shewest thou then, that we may see it, and beleeue thee? what doest thou woorke?

³⁸ But if I doe, then though ye beleeue not mee, yet beleeue the workes, that ye may knowe and beleeue, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
