¹⁴ And if a man borow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or els die, the owner thereof not being by, he shall surely make it good.

³⁴ The owner of the pit shall make it good, and giue money to the owners thereof, but the dead beast shalbe his.

¹¹ An othe of the Lord shalbe betweene the twaine, that hee hath not put his hande vnto his neighbours good, and the owner of it shall take the othe, and he shall not make it good:

¹⁸ And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it, beast for beast.

² And this is the maner of the freedome: euery creditour shall quite ye lone of his hand which he hath lent to his neighbour: he shall not aske it againe of his neighbour, nor of his brother: for the yeere of the Lords freedome is proclaimed.

¹⁹ Thou shalt not giue to vsurie to thy brother: as vsurie of money, vsurie of meate, vsurie of any thing that is put to vsurie. ²⁰ Vnto a stranger thou mayest lend vpon vsurie, but thou shalt not lend vpon vsurie vnto thy brother, that the Lord thy God may blesse thee in all that thou settest thine hand to, in the land whither thou goest to possesse it.

⁴ There were also that said, We haue borowed money for the Kings tribute vpon our landes and our vineyardes.

²¹ The wicked boroweth and payeth not againe. but the righteous is mercifull, and giueth.

⁴² Giue to him that asketh, and from him that would borowe of thee, turne not away.

³⁵ Wherefore loue ye your enemies, and doe good, and lend, looking for nothing againe, and your rewarde shalbe great, and ye shalbe the children of the most High: for he is kinde vnto the vnkinde, and to the euill.
