¹ Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? the wisedome of a man doth make his face to shine: and the strength of his face shalbe changed.

⁸ Who answered him, We haue dreamed, eche one a dreame, and there is none to interprete the same. Then Ioseph saide vnto them, Are not interpretations of God? tell them me nowe.

¹⁵ Then Pharaoh sayde to Ioseph, I haue dreamed a dreame, and no man can interprete it, and I haue hearde say of thee, that when thou hearest a dreame, thou canst interprete it. ¹⁶ And Ioseph answered Pharaoh, saying, Without me God shall answere for the wealth of Pharaoh.

³⁸ Then saide Pharaoh vnto his seruants, Can we finde such a man as this, in whom is the Spirit of God? ³⁹ The Pharaoh said to Ioseph, For as much as God hath shewed thee all this, there is no man of vnderstanding, or of wisedome like vnto thee.

²⁹ So when Moses came downe from mount Sinai, the two Tables of the Testimonie were in Moses hande, as hee descended from the mount: (nowe Moses wist not that the skinne of his face shone bright, after that God had talked with him. ³⁰ And Aaron and all the children of Israel looked vpon Moses, and beholde, the skin of his face shone bright, and they were afraid to come neere him)

⁵⁰ A nation of a fierce countenance, which will not regarde the person of the olde, nor haue compassion of the yong.

²³ If there be a messenger with him, or an interpreter, one of a thousand to declare vnto man his righteousnesse,

⁶ To vnderstand a parable, and the interpretation, the wordes of ye wise, and their darke sayings.

⁸ Exalt her, and she shall exalt thee: she shall bring thee to honour, if thou embrace her. ⁹ She shall giue a comely ornamet vnto thine head, yea, she shall giue thee a crowne of glorie.

²⁴ Wisdome is in the face of him that hath vnderstanding: but the eyes of a foole are in the corners of the world.

⁵ A wise man is strong: for a man of vnderstanding encreaseth his strength.

¹³ Then I saw that there is profite in wisdome, more then in follie: as the light is more excellent then darkenes. ¹⁴ For the wise mans eyes are in his head, but the foole walketh in darknes: yet I know also that the same condition falleth to them all.

²⁸ But there is a God in heauen that reueileth secrets, and sheweth the King Nebuchad-nezzar what shall bee in the latter dayes. Thy dreame, and the things which thou hast seene in thine heade vpon thy bed, is this. ²⁹ O King, when thou wast in thy bedde, thoughts came into thy mind, what should come to passe hereafter, and he that reueyleth secretes, telleth thee, what shall come. ³⁰ As for me, this secret is not shewed mee for any wisedome that I haue, more then any other liuing, but onely to shewe the King the interpretation, and that thou mightest knowe the thoughts of thine heart.

⁴⁷ Also the King answered vnto Daniel, and said, I know of a trueth that your God is a God of gods, and the Lord of Kings, and the reueiler of secrets, seeing thou couldest open this secret.

¹⁸ Whose leaues were faire and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meate for all, vnder the which the beastes of the fielde dwelt, and vpon whose branches the foules of the heauen did sit, ¹⁹ It is thou, O King, that art great and mightie: for thy greatnesse is growen, and reacheth vnto heauen, and thy dominion to the endes of the earth.

² And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the Sunne, and his clothes were as white as the light.

¹³ Now when they sawe the boldnes of Peter and Iohn, and vnderstoode that they were vnlearned men and without knowledge, they marueiled, and knew them, that they had bin with Iesus:

²⁹ And nowe, O Lord, beholde their threatnings, and graunt vnto thy seruants with all boldnesse to speake thy word,

¹⁵ And as all that sate in the Councill, looked stedfastly on him, they saw his face as it had bene the face of an Angel.

¹³ Which things also we speake, not in the woordes which mans wisedome teacheth, but which the holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spirituall things with spirituall things. ¹⁴ But the naturall man perceiueth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishnesse vnto him: neither can hee knowe them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ But hee that is spirituall, discerneth all things: yet he himselfe is iudged of no man. ¹⁶ For who hath knowen the minde of the Lord, that hee might instruct him? But we haue the minde of Christ.

¹⁹ And for me, that vtterance may be giuen vnto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to publish the secret of the Gospel,

¹⁷ Notwithstanding the Lord assisted me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching might be fully beleeued, and that al the Gentiles should heare: and I was deliuered out of the mouth of the lion.

²⁰ So that yee first knowe this, that no prophecie of the Scripture is of any priuate interpretation.
