¹⁴ Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and put out their name from vnder heaue, and I wil make of thee a mightie nation, and greater then they be.

¹⁰ Nowe therefore let mee alone, that my wrath may waxe hote against them, for I wil consume the: but I wil make of thee a mighty people. ¹¹ But Moses praied vnto the Lord his God, and said, O Lord, why doeth thy wrath waxe hote against thy people, which thou hast brought out of the lande of Egypt, with great power and with a mightie hand? ¹² Wherefore shall the Egyptians speake, and say, He hath brought them out maliciously for to slay them in the mountaines, and to consume them from the earth? turne from thy fearce wrath, and change thy minde from this euill towarde thy people. ¹³ Remember Abraham, Izhak, and Israel thy seruants, to whom thou swarest by thine owne selfe, and saydest vnto them, I wil multiply your seede, as the starres of the heauen, and all this land, that I haue spoken of, wil I giue vnto your seede, and they shall inherit it for euer.

³² Therefore now if thou pardon their sinne, thy mercy shall appeare: but if thou wilt not, I pray thee, rase me out of thy booke, which thou hast written. ³³ Then the Lord sayd to Moses, Whosoeuer hath sinned against me, I will put out of my booke.

¹¹ And the Lord said vnto Moses, How long will this people prouoke me, and howe long will it be, yer they beleeue me, for al the signes which I haue shewed among them? ¹² I will smite them with the pestilence and destroy them, and will make thee a greater nation and mightier then they.

²⁰ The Lord will not be mercifull vnto him, but then the wrath of the Lord and his ielousie shall smoke against that man, and euery curse that is written in this booke, shall light vpon him, and the Lord shall put out his name from vnder heauen,

⁵ Thou hast rebuked the heathen: thou hast destroyed the wicked: thou hast put out their name for euer and euer.

¹³ Let his posteritie be destroied, and in the generation following let their name be put out.

⁷ The memoriall of the iust shalbe blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rotte.

⁶ I haue set watchmen vpon thy walles, O Ierusalem, which all the day and all the night continually shall not cease: ye that are mindfull of the Lord, keepe not silence, ⁷ And giue him no rest, till hee repaire and vntill hee set vp Ierusalem the prayse of the worlde.

¹¹ Then sayd the Lord vnto me, Thou shalt not pray to do this people good.

¹ Then sayde the Lord vnto me, Though Moses and Samuel stoode before mee, yet mine affection coulde not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them depart.

⁷ And hee within shoulde answere, and say, Trouble mee not: the doore is nowe shut, and my children are with mee in bed: I can not rise and giue them to thee. ⁸ I say vnto you, Though he would not arise and giue him, because he is his friende, yet doubtlesse because of his importunitie, hee woulde rise, and giue him as many as he needed. ⁹ And I say vnto you, Aske, and it shall be giuen you: seeke, and yee shall finde: knocke, and it shalbe opened vnto you. ¹⁰ For euery one that asketh, receiueth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shalbe opened.

¹ And he spake also a parable vnto them, to this ende, that they ought alwayes to pray, and not to waxe faint, ² Saying, There was a iudge in a certaine citie, which feared not God, neither reuereced man. ³ And there was a widowe in that citie, which came vnto him, saying, Doe mee iustice against mine aduersarie. ⁴ And hee would not of a long time: but afterward he said with himselfe, Though I feare not God, nor reuerence man, ⁵ Yet because this widowe troubleth mee, I will doe her right, lest at the last shee come and make me wearie. ⁶ And the Lord said, Heare what the vnrighteous iudge saith. ⁷ Now shall not God auenge his elect, which cry day and night vnto him, yea, though he suffer long for them? ⁸ I tell you he will auenge them quickly: but when the Sonne of man commeth, shall he finde faith on the earth?

⁵¹ Ye stiffenecked and of vncircumcised heartes and eares, ye haue alwayes resisted the holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you.

⁵ He that ouercommeth, shalbe clothed in white araye, and I will not put out his name out of the booke of life, but I will confesse his name before my Father, and before his Angels.
