¹³ Furthermore, the Lord spake vnto me, saying, I haue seene this people, and beholde, it is a stifnecked people.

⁵ But the Lord came downe, to see the citie and towre, which the sonnes of men builded.

²¹ I will goe downe nowe, and see whether they haue done altogether according to that crie which is come vnto me: and if not, that I may knowe.

⁹ Againe the Lord said vnto Moses, I haue seene this people, and beholde, it is a stiffe necked people. ¹⁰ Nowe therefore let mee alone, that my wrath may waxe hote against them, for I wil consume the: but I wil make of thee a mighty people.

⁶ Vnderstand therefore, that ye Lord thy God giueth thee not this good land to possesse it for thy righteousnes: for thou art a stifnecked people.

¹⁶ Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and harden your neckes no more.

²⁷ For I knowe thy rebellion and thy stiffe necke: beholde, I being yet aliue with you this day, ye are rebellious against the Lord: howe much more then after my death?

¹⁴ Neuerthelesse they would not obey, but hardened their neckes, like to the neckes of their fathers, that did not beleeue in the Lord their God.

⁷ Heare, O my people, and I wil speake: heare, O Israel, and I wil testifie vnto thee: for I am God, euen thy God.

¹¹ Is this House become a denne of theeues, whereupon my Name is called before your eyes? Beholde, euen I see it, sayeth the Lord.

²⁷ I haue seene thine adulteries, and thy neiings, the filthinesse of thy whoredome on the hils in the fieldes, and thine abominations. Wo vnto thee, O Ierusalem: wilt thou not bee made cleane? when shall it once be?

¹⁰ I haue seene vileny in the house of Israel: there is ye whoredome of Ephraim: Israel is defiled.

⁵ And I will come neere to you to iudgement, and I will be a swift witnesse against the southsayers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that wrongfully keepe backe the hirelings wages, and vexe the widowe, and the fatherlesse, and oppresse the stranger, and feare not me, sayth the Lord of hostes.
