¹⁵ And remember that thou wast a seruant in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God deliuered thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

² I am the Lord thy God, which haue brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

¹⁴ But the seuenth day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: thou shalt not doe any worke therein, thou, nor thy sonne, nor thy daughter, nor thy man seruant, nor thy mayd, nor thine oxe, nor thine asse, neither any of thy cattel, nor the stranger that is within thy gates: that thy man seruant and thy mayde may rest aswell as thou. ¹⁵ For, remember that thou wast a seruant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence by a mightie hand and a stretched out arme: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to obserue the Sabbath day.

¹² And thou shalt remember that thou wast a seruant in Egypt: therefore thou shalt obserue and doe these ordinances.

¹ Heare me, ye that follow after righteousnes, and ye that seeke the Lord: looke vnto the rocke, whence ye are hewen, and to the hole of the pit, whence ye are digged.

¹⁴ For if ye doe forgiue men their trespasses, your heauenly Father will also forgiue you. ¹⁵ But if ye do not forgiue men their trespasses,, no more will your father forgiue you your trespaces.

³² Then his Lord called him vnto him, and sayd to him, O euil seruant, I forgaue thee all that dette, because thou prayedst me. ³³ Oughtest not thou also to haue had pitie on thy fellowe seruant, euen as I had pitie on thee?

⁷ By whom we haue redemption through his blood, euen the forgiuenes of sinnes, according to his rich grace:

¹² That ye were, I say, at that time without Christ, and were alients from the common wealth of Israel, and were strangers from the couenants of promise, and had no hope, and were without God in the world.

³² Be ye courteous one to another, and tender hearted, freely forgiuing one another, euen as God for Christes sake, freely forgaue you.

¹⁴ Who gaue him selfe for vs, that hee might redeeme vs from all iniquitie, and purge vs to bee a peculiar people vnto himselfe, zealous of good woorkes.

¹⁶ Hereby haue we perceiued loue, that he layde downe his life for vs: therefore we ought also to lay downe our liues for the brethren.

⁹ Herein was that loue of God made manifest amongst vs, because God sent that his onely begotten sonne into this world, that we might liue through him. ¹⁰ Herein is that loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his Sonne to be a reconciliation for our sinnes. ¹¹ Beloued, if God so loued vs, we ought also to loue one another.
