⁸ But Daniel had determined in his heart, that hee woulde not defile him selfe with the portion of the Kings meate, nor with the wine which he dranke: therefore he required the chiefe of the Eunuches that he might not defile himselfe.

⁴⁵ For I am the Lord that brought you out of the lande of Egypt, to be your God, and that you should be holy, for I am holy. ⁴⁶ This is the law of beasts, and of foules, and of euery liuing thing that moueth in the waters, and of euery thing that creepeth vpon the earth: ⁴⁷ That there may be a difference betweene the vncleane and cleane, and betweene the beast that may be eaten, and the beast that ought not to be eaten.

³⁸ Which did eate the fat of their sacrifices, and did drinke the wine of their drinke offring? let them rise vp, and help you: let him be your refuge.

¹⁷ Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried. the Lord do so to me and more also, if ought but death depart thee and me. ¹⁸ Whe she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, she left speaking vnto her.

⁵ And beholde, I purpose to build an house vnto ye Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake vnto Dauid my father, saying, Thy sonne, whom I wil set vpon thy throne for thee, he shall build an house vnto my Name.

²⁸ They ioyned themselues also vnto Baalpeor, and did eate the offrings of the dead.

¹⁰⁶ I haue sworne and will performe it, that I will keepe thy righteous iudgements.

⁴ Incline not mine heart to euill, that I should commit wicked workes with men that worke iniquitie: and let me not eate of their delicates.

¹³ And the Lord said, So shall the children of Israel eate their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will cast them. ¹⁴ Then said I, Ah, Lord God, beholde, my soule hath not bene polluted: for from my youth vp, euen vnto this houre, I haue not eaten of a thing dead, or torne in pieces, neither came there any vncleane flesh in my mouth.

⁵ And the King appointed them prouision euery day of a portion of the Kings meate, and and of the wine, which he dranke, so nourishing them three yeere, that at the ende thereof, they might stande before the King.

³ They wil not dwel in the Lordes lande, but Ephraim will returne to Egypt, and they will eate vncleane things in Asshur. ⁴ They shall not offer wine to the Lord, neither shall their sacrifices be pleasant vnto him: but they shall be vnto them as the bread of mourners: al that eate thereof, shalbe polluted: for their bread for their soules shall not come into the house of the Lord.

¹⁴ But Peter sayd, Not so, Lord: for I haue neuer eaten any thing that is polluted, or vncleane. ¹⁵ And the voyce spake vnto him againe the second time, The things that God hath purified, pollute thou not. ¹⁶ This was so done thrise: and the vessell was drawen vp againe into heauen.

²³ Who when he was come and had seene the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted all, that with purpose of heart they would continue in the Lord.

¹⁵ But if thy brother be grieued for the meate, nowe walkest thou not charitably: destroy not him with thy meate, for whome Christ dyed. ¹⁶ Cause not your commoditie to be euill spoken of. ¹⁷ For the kingdome of God, is not meate nor drinke, but righteousnes, and peace, and ioye in the holy Ghost.

³⁷ Neuerthelesse, hee that standeth firme in his heart, that hee hath no neede, but hath power ouer his owne will, and hath so decreed in his heart, that hee will keepe his virgine, hee doeth well.

⁷ But euery man hath not that knowledge: for many hauing conscience of the idole, vntill this houre, eate as a thing sacrificed vnto the idole, and so their conscience being weake, is defiled. ⁸ But meate maketh not vs acceptable to God, for neither if we eate, haue we the more: neither if we eate not, haue we the lesse. ⁹ But take heede lest by any meanes this power of yours be an occasion of falling, to them that are weake. ¹⁰ For if any man see thee which hast knowledge, sit at table in the idoles temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weake, be boldened to eate those things which are sacrificed to idoles?

¹⁸ Beholde Israel, which is after the flesh: are not they which eate of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? ¹⁹ What say I then? that the idole is any thing? or that that which is sacrificed to idoles, is any thing? ²⁰ Nay, but that these things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to deuils, and not vnto God: and I would not that ye should haue fellowship with the deuils. ²¹ Ye can not drinke the cup of the Lord, and the cup of the deuils. Ye can not be partakers of the Lords table, and of the table of the deuils.

²⁸ But if any man say vnto you, This is sacrificed vnto idoles, eate it not, because of him that shewed it, and for the conscience (for the earth is the Lords, and all that therein is) ²⁹ And the conscience, I say, not thine, but of that other: for why should my libertie be condemned of another mans conscience? ³⁰ For if I through Gods benefite be partaker, why am I euill spoken of, for that wherefore I giue thankes? ³¹ Whether therefore ye eate, or drinke, or whatsoeuer ye doe, doe all to the glory of God.

⁷ As euery man wisheth in his heart, so let him giue, not grudgingly, or of necessitie: for God loueth a cheerefull giuer.
