¹⁹ Husbands, loue your wiues, and be not bitter vnto them.

²³ Then the man said, This now is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shalbe called woman, because she was taken out of man. ²⁴ Therefore shall man leaue his father and his mother, and shall cleaue to his wife, and they shall be one flesh.

Because the Lord hath beene witnesse betweene thee and the wife of thy youth, against whome thou hast transgressed: yet is shee thy companion, and the wife of thy couenant. ¹⁵ And did not hee make one? yet had hee abundance of spirit: and wherefore one? because he sought a godly seede: therefore keepe your selues in your spirit, and let none trespasse against the wife of his youth. ¹⁶ If thou hatest her, put her away, sayeth the Lord God of Israel, yet he couereth the iniurie vnder his garment, saieth the Lord of hosts: therefore keepe your selues in your spirite, and transgresse not.

²⁶ If any man come to mee, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters: yea, and his owne life also, he can not be my disciple.

³¹ Let all bitternesse, and anger, and wrath, crying, and euill speaking be put away from you, with all maliciousnesse.

²⁵ Husbands, loue your wiues, euen as Christ loued the Church, and gaue himselfe for it,

²⁸ So ought men to loue their wiues, as their owne bodies: he that loueth his wife, loueth him selfe. ²⁹ For no man euer yet hated his owne flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, euen as the Lord doeth the Church.

³³ Therefore euery one of you, doe ye so: let euery one loue his wife, euen as himselfe, and let the wife see that shee feare her husband.

²¹ Fathers, prouoke not your children to anger, least they be discouraged.

¹⁴ But if ye haue bitter enuying and strife in your hearts, reioyce not, neither be liars against the trueth.

⁷ Likewise ye husbands, dwel with them as men of knowledge, giuing honour vnto the woman, as vnto the weaker vessell, euen as they which are heires together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not interrupted.
