¹⁴ Seeke good and not euil, that ye may liue: and the Lord God of hostes shalbe with you, as you haue spoken.

² And the Lord was with Ioseph, and he was a man that prospered and was in the house of his master the Egyptian. ³ And his master sawe that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that hee did to prosper in his hande.

²³ And the keeper of the prison looked vnto nothing that was vnder his hande, seeing that the Lord was with him: for whatsoeuer he did, the Lord made it to prosper.

¹² And he answered, Certainely I will be with thee: and this shall be a token vnto thee, that I haue sent thee, After that thou hast brought the people out of Egypt, ye shall serue God vpon this Mountaine.

³ Who gathered themselues together against Moses, and against Aaron, and sayde vnto them, Ye take too much vpon you, seeing all the Congregation is holie, euery one of them, and the Lord is among them: wherfore then lift ye your selues aboue the Congregation of the Lord?

⁹ Haue not I commanded thee, saying, Be strong and of a good courage, feare not, nor be discouraged? for I the Lord thy God will be with thee, whithersoeuer thou goest.

²⁰ And Dauid said to Salomon his sonne, Be strong, and of a valiant courage and doe it: feare not, nor be afraide: for the Lord God, euen my God is with thee: he will not leaue thee nor forsake thee till thou hast finished all the worke for the seruice of the house of the Lord.

² And he went out to meete Asa, and said vnto him, O Asa, and all Iudah, and Beniamin, heare ye me. The Lord is with you, while ye be with him: and if ye seeke him, he wil be founde of you, but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

¹² What man is he, that desireth life, and loueth long dayes for to see good? ¹³ Keepe thy tongue from euill, and thy lips, that they speake no guile. ¹⁴ Eschewe euill and doe good: seeke peace and follow after it. ¹⁵ The eyes of the Lord are vpon the righteous, and his eares are open vnto their crie. ¹⁶ But the face of the Lord is against them that doe euill, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.

¹¹ The Lord of hostes is with vs: the God of Iaakob is our refuge. Selah.

²⁷ He that seeketh good things, getteth fauour: but he that seeketh euill, it shall come to him.

¹⁶ Wash you, make you cleane: take away the euill of your workes from before mine eyes: cease to doe euill. ¹⁷ Learne to doe well: seeke iudgement, relieue the oppressed: iudge the fatherlesse and defend the widowe.

¹⁰ Take counsell together, yet it shall be brought to nought: pronounce a decree, yet shall it not stand: for God is with vs.

¹ Hear yee this, O house of Iaakob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come out of the waters of Iudah: which sweare by the Name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousnesse. ² For they are called of the holy citie, and staie themselues vpon the God of Israel, whose Name is the Lord of hostes.

² Wherefore doe ye lay out siluer and not for bread? and your labour without being satisfied? hearken diligently vnto me, and eate that which is good, and let your soule delite in fatnes.

³ Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Amend your waies and your woorkes, and I will let you dwell in this place. ⁴ Trust not in lying woordes, saying, The Temple of the Lord, the Temple of the Lord: this is the Temple of the Lord.

³ Can two walke together except they bee agreed?

¹¹ The heads thereof iudge for rewardes, and the Priestes thereof teache for hyre, and the prophets thereof prophecie for money: yet wil they leane vpon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among vs? no euill can come vpon vs.

⁸ He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requireth of thee: surely to doe iustly, and to loue mercie, and to humble thy selfe, to walke with thy God.

²³ Behold, a virgine shalbe with childe, and shall beare a sonne, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with vs.

³³ But seeke ye first the kingdome of God, and his righteousnesse, and all these things shall be ministred vnto you.

²⁰ Teaching them to obserue all things, whatsoeuer I haue commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, vntill the ende of the worlde, Amen.

⁷ That is, to them which through patience in well doing, seeke glorie, and honour, and immortalitie, euerlasting life: ⁸ But vnto them that are contentious and disobey the trueth, and obey vnrighteousnesse, shalbe indignation and wrath. ⁹ Tribulation and anguish shalbe vpon the soule of euery man that doeth euill: of the Iewe first, and also of the Grecian.

⁸ Furthermore, brethre, whatsoeuer things are true, whatsoeuer things are honest, whatsoeuer thinges are iust, whatsoeuer thinges are pure, whatsoeuer thinges are worthie loue, whatsoeuer things are of good report, if there be any vertue, or if there be any praise, thinke on these things, ⁹ Which yee haue both learned and receiued, and heard, and seene in mee: those things doe, and the God of peace shalbe with you.
