⁵² And the disciples were filled with ioy, and with the holy Ghost.

¹² Reioyce and be glad, for great is your reward in heauen: for so persecuted they the Prophets which were before you.

²² Blessed are ye when men hate you, and when they separate you, and reuile you, and put out your name as euill, for the Sonne of mans sake. ²³ Reioyce ye in that day, and be glad: for beholde, your reward is great in heauen: for after this maner their fathers did to the Prophets.

²² And ye nowe therefore are in sorowe: but I will see you againe, and your hearts shall reioyce, and your ioy shall no man take from you. ²³ And in that day shall ye aske me nothing. Verely, verely I say vnto you, whatsoeuer ye shall aske the Father in my Name, he will giue it you.

⁴ And they were all filled with the holy Ghost, and began to speake with other tongues, as the Spirit gaue them vtterance.

⁴⁶ And they continued dayly with one accord in the Temple, and breaking bread at home, did eate their meate together with gladnesse and singlenesse of heart,

³¹ And when as they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were all filled with the holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God boldely.

⁴¹ So they departed from the Councill, reioycing, that they were counted worthy to suffer rebuke for his Name.

³ Neither that onely, but also we reioyce in tribulations, knowing that tribulation bringeth forth patience,

¹⁷ For the kingdome of God, is not meate nor drinke, but righteousnes, and peace, and ioye in the holy Ghost.

¹³ Nowe the God of hope fill you with all ioye, and peace in beleeuing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the holy Ghost.

² Because in great triall of affliction their ioy abounded, and their most extreme pouertie abounded vnto their rich liberalitie.

²² But the fruite of the Spirit is loue, ioye, peace, long suffering, gentlenes, goodnes, fayth,

¹⁸ And be not drunke with wine, wherein is excesse: but be fulfilled with the Spirit, ¹⁹ Speaking vnto your selues in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing, and making melodie to the Lord in your hearts, ²⁰ Giuing thankes alwaies for all thinges vnto God euen the Father, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ,

⁶ And ye became followers of vs, and of the Lord, and receiued the worde in much affliction, with ioy of the holy Ghost,

² My brethren, count it exceeding ioy, when ye fall into diuers tentations,

⁶ Wherein yee reioyce, though nowe for a season (if neede require) yee are in heauinesse, through manifolde tentations, ⁷ That the triall of your faith, being much more precious then golde that perisheth (though it be tried with fire) might bee founde vnto your praise, and honour and glorie at the appearing of Iesus Christ: ⁸ Whome yee haue not seene, and yet loue him, in whome nowe, though yee see him not, yet doe you beleeue, and reioyce with ioy vnspeakeable and glorious,

¹³ But reioyce, in asmuch as ye are partakers of Christs suffrings, that when his glory shall appeare, ye may be glad and reioyce.
