⁷ And behold the Angel of the Lord came vpon them, and a light shined in the house, and he smote Peter on the side, and raysed him vp, saying, Arise quickely. And his chaines fell off from his handes.

¹⁵ And when the morning arose, the Angels hasted Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife and thy two daughters which are here, lest thou be destroyed in the punishment of the citie. ¹⁶ And as he prolonged the time, the men caught both him and his wife, and his two daughters by the hands (the Lord being mercifull vnto him) and they brought him foorth, and set him without the citie.

²⁹ Surely thou art my light, O Lord: and the Lord will lighten my darkenes.

⁵ And as he lay and slept vnder the iuniper tree, behold now, an Angel touched him, and said vnto him, Vp, and eate.

⁷ And the Angel of the Lord came againe the second time, and touched him, and sayd, Vp, and eate: for thou hast a great iourney.

⁷ The Angel of the Lord pitcheth round about them, that feare him, and deliuereth them.

³² The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. ³³ But the Lord wil not leaue him in his hand, nor condemne him, when he is iudged.

¹⁸ They helde his feete in the stockes, and he was laide in yrons, ¹⁹ Vntill his appointed time came, and the counsell of the Lord had tryed him. ²⁰ The King sent and loosed him: euen the Ruler of the people deliuered him.

¹⁴ He brought them out of darkenes, and out of the shadowe of death, and brake their bandes asunder.

¹⁶ Beholde, Lord: for I am thy seruant, I am thy seruant, and the sonne of thine handmaide: thou hast broken my bondes.

⁶ Hearken vnto my crye, for I am brought very lowe: deliuer me from my persecuters, for they are too strong for me. ⁷ Bring my soule out of prison, that I may prayse thy Name: then shall the righteous come about me, when thou art beneficiall vnto me.

⁷ Which executeth iustice for the oppressed: which giueth bread to the hungry: the Lord loseth the prisoners.

³⁰ And this shalbe a signe vnto thee, O Hezekiah, Thou shalt eate this yeere such as groweth of it selfe: and the second yeere, such things as growe without sowing: and in the third yeere, sowe ye and reape, and plant vineyards, and eate the fruite thereof.

¹ Arise, O Ierusalem: be bright, for thy light is come, and the glorie of the Lord is risen vpon thee.

² And beholde, the glorie of the God of Israel came from out of the East, whose voyce was like a noyse of great waters, and the earth was made light with his glorie.

²⁴ Then Nebuchad-nezzar the King was astonied and rose vp in haste, and spake, and saide vnto his counsellers, Did not wee cast three men bound into the middes of the fire? Who answered and said vnto the King, It is true, O King. ²⁵ And he answered, and said, Loe, I see foure men loose, walking in the middes of the fire, and they haue no hurt, and the forme of the fourth is like the sonne of God.

²² My God hath sent his Angel and hath shut the lyons mouthes, that they haue not hurt mee: for my iustice was founde out before him: and vnto thee, O King, I haue done no hurt.

⁹ I will beare the wrath of the Lord because I haue sinned against him, vntill he pleade my cause, and execute iudgement for me: then will he bring me foorth to the light, and I shall see his righteousnesse.

⁴ And his brightnes was as the light: he had hornes comming out of his hands, and there was the hiding of his power.

¹¹ The sunne and moone stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrowes they went, and at the bright shining of thy speares.

⁹ And loe, the Angel of the Lord came vpon them, and the glorie of the Lord shone about them, and they were sore afraide.

⁴ And it came to passe, that as they were amased thereat, beholde, two men suddenly stood by them in shining vestures.

²⁴ Whome God hath raised vp, and loosed the sorrowes of death, because it was vnpossible that he should be holden of it.

¹⁹ But the Angel of the Lord, by night opened the prison doores, and brought them forth, and sayd,

³ Now as he iourneyed, it came to passe that as he was come neere to Damascus, suddenly there shined rounde about him a light from heauen.

³⁰ Then Cornelius sayd, Foure dayes agoe, about this houre, I fasted, and at the ninth houre I prayed in mine house, and beholde, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

⁶ And when Herod woulde haue brought him out vnto the people, the same night slept Peter betweene two souldiers, bound with two chaines, and the keepers before the doore, kept the prison.

²³ But immediatly the Angel of the Lord smote him, because he gaue not glorie vnto God, so that he was eaten of wormes, and gaue vp the ghost.

²⁶ And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundation of the prison was shaken: and by and by all the doores opened, and euery mans bands were loosed.

²³ For there stood by me this night the Angel of God, whose I am, and whome I serue, ²⁴ Saying, Feare not, Paul: for thou must be brought before Cesar: and lo, God hath giuen vnto thee freely all that sayle with thee.

¹⁴ Wherefore hee sayeth, Awake thou that sleepest, and stande vp from the deade, and Christ shall giue thee light.

¹⁴ Are they not al ministring spirits, sent forth to minister, for their sakes which shalbe heires of saluation?

¹ And after these thinges, I sawe another Angel come downe from heauen, hauing great power, so that the earth was lightened with his glorie,
