³³ Then sent I for thee immediately, and thou hast well done to come. Nowe therefore are we all here present before God, to heare all things that are commanded thee of God.

²⁵ Now therefore, why should we dye? for this great fire wil consume vs: if we heare ye voyce of the Lord our God any more, we shall dye. ²⁶ For what flesh was there euer, that heard the voyce of the liuing God speaking out of the middes of the fire as we haue, and liued? ²⁷ Go thou neere and heare all that the Lord our God saith: and declare thou vnto vs all that the Lord our God saith vnto thee, and we will heare it, and doe it. ²⁸ Then the Lord heard the voyce of your wordes, when ye spake vnto me: and the Lord sayd vnto me, I haue heard the voyce of ye wordes of this people, which they haue spoken vnto thee: they haue well sayd, all that they haue spoken. ²⁹ Oh that there were such an heart in them to feare me, and to keepe all my commandements alway: that it might go well with them, and with their children for euer.

¹² And the hand of God was in Iudah, so that he gaue them one heart to doe the commandement of the King, and of the rulers, according to the worde of the Lord.

⁵ A wise man shall heare and increase in learning, and a man of vnderstanding shall attayne vnto wise counsels,

⁹ Giue admonition to the wise, and he will be the wiser: teache a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. ¹⁰ The beginning of wisedome is the feare of the Lord, and the knowledge of holy things, is vnderstanding.

¹⁵ A wise heart getteth knowledge, and the eare of the wise seeketh learning.

¹² He that reprooueth the wise, and the obedient eare, is as a golden earering and an ornament of fine golde.

⁴ Whosoeuer therefore shall humble himselfe as this litle childe, the same is the greatest in the kingdome of heauen.

³⁰ But many that are first, shalbe last, and the last shalbe first.

¹⁵ Verely I say vnto you, Whosoeuer shall not receiue the kingdome of God as a litle childe, he shall not enter therein.

¹¹ These were also more noble men then they which were at Thessalonica, which receiued the woorde with all readinesse, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so. ¹² Therefore many of them beleeued, and of honest women, which were Grecians, and men not a fewe.

²⁸ Be it knowen therefore vnto you, that this saluation of God is sent to the Gentiles, and they shall heare it.

¹⁸ Let no man deceiue himselfe: If any man among you seeme to be wise in this world, let him be a foole, that he may be wise.

¹⁴ And the trial of me which was in my flesh, ye despised not, neither abhorred: but ye receiued me as an Angel of God, yea, as Christ Iesus.

¹³ For this cause also thanke we God without ceasing, that when ye receiued the worde of God, which ye heard of vs, ye receiued it not as the worde of men, but as it is in deede the worde of God, which also worketh in you that beleeue.

¹⁹ Wherefore my deare brethren, let euery man be swift to heare, slowe to speake, and slowe to wrath.

²¹ Wherefore lay apart all filthinesse, and superfluitie of maliciousnesse, and receiue with meekenes the word that is graffed in you, which is able to saue your soules.

¹ Wherefore, laying aside all maliciousnes, and all guile, and dissimulation, and enuie, and all euill speaking, ² As newe borne babes desire that sincere milke of the woorde, that yee may growe thereby,
