¹⁹ But the foundation of God remaineth sure, and hath this seale, The Lord knoweth who are his: and, Let euery one that calleth on the Name of Christ, depart from iniquitie.

²⁷ So they shall put my Name vpon the children of Israel, and I wil blesse them.

⁵ And spake to Korah and vnto all his companie, saying, To morow the Lord will shew who is his, and who is holy, and who ought to approche neere vnto him: and whom he hath chosen, hee will cause to come neere to him.

²⁸ And vnto man he said, Behold, the feare of the Lord is wisedome, and to depart from euil is vnderstanding.

⁶ For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish.

¹⁴ Eschewe euill and doe good: seeke peace and follow after it.

¹⁸ The Lord knoweth the dayes of vpright men, and their inheritance shall bee perpetuall.

²⁷ Flee from euill and doe good, and dwell for euer. ²⁸ For the Lord loueth iudgement, and forsaketh not his Saintes: they shall be preserued for euermore: but the seede of the wicked shall be cut off.

¹⁰ Ye that loue the Lord, hate euill: he preserueth the soules of his Saints: hee will deliuer them from the hand of the wicked.

⁶ Surely he shall neuer be moued: but the righteous shalbe had in euerlasting remembrance.

¹ A song of degrees. They that trust in the Lord, shalbe as mount Zion, which can not be remooued, but remaineth for euer. ² As the mountaines are about Ierusalem: so is the Lord about his people from henceforth and for euer.

⁷ Be not wise in thine owne eyes: but feare the Lord, and depart from euill.

²⁵ As the whirlewinde passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is as an euerlasting foundation.

³² What shall then one answere the messengers of the Gentiles? That the Lord hath stablished Zion, and the poore of his people shall trust in it.

¹⁶ Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will laye in Zion a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation. Hee that beleeueth, shall not make haste.

¹⁹ We haue bene as they, ouer whome thou neuer barest rule, and vpon whom thy Name was not called.

¹⁵ And ye shall leaue your name as a curse vnto my chosen: for the Lord God shall slay you and call his seruants by another name.

⁷ The Lord is good and as a strong hold in the day of trouble, and he knoweth them that trust in him.

²³ And I will ouerthrowe the throne of kingdomes, and I wil destroy the strength of the kingdomes of the heathen, and I wil ouerthrowe the charets, and those that ride in them, and the horse and the riders shall come downe, euery one by the sword of his brother. [ (Haggai 2:24) In that day, saith the Lord of hostes, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel my seruant, the sonne of Shealtiel, sayth the Lord, and wil make thee as a signet: for I haue chosen thee, sayth the Lord of hostes. ]

⁹ For loe, the stone that I haue layd before Iehoshua: vpon one stone shalbe seuen eyes: beholde, I will cut out the grauing thereof, saith the Lord of hostes, and I will take away the iniquitie of this land in one day.

⁷ Who art thou, O great mountaine, before Zerubbabel? thou shalt be a plaine, and he shall bring foorth the head stone thereof, with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace vnto it. ⁸ Moreouer, the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying, ⁹ The handes of Zerubbabel haue layde the foundation of this house: his handes shall also finish it, and thou shalt knowe that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto you.

²³ And then will I professe to them, I neuer knewe you: depart from me, ye that worke iniquitie.

²⁵ And the raine fell, and the floods came, and the windes blewe, and beat vpon that house, and it fell not: for it was grounded on a rocke.

²⁴ For there shall arise false Christes, and false prophets, and shall shewe great signes and wonders, so that if it were possible, they should deceiue the very elect.

¹⁹ Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and the Sonne, and the holy Ghost,

²⁷ But he shall say, I tell you, I knowe you not whence ye are: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquitie.

¹⁴ I am that good shepheard, and knowe mine, and am knowen of mine.

²⁷ My sheepe heare my voyce, and I knowe them, and they follow me, ²⁸ And I giue vnto them eternall life, and they shall neuer perish, neither shall any plucke them out of mine hand. ²⁹ My Father which gaue them me, is greater then all, and none is able to take them out of my Fathers hand. ³⁰ I and my Father are one.

¹⁸ I speake not of you all: I know whom I haue chosen: but it is that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lift vp his heele against me.

¹⁴ Moreouer here hee hath authoritie of the hie Priestes, to binde all that call on thy Name.

²⁶ And when he had founde him, he brought him vnto Antiochia: and it came to passe that a whole yere they were conuersant with ye Church, and taught much people, in so much that the disciples were first called Christians in Antiochia.

¹⁷ That the residue of men might seeke after the Lord, and all the Gentiles vpon whom my Name is called, saith the Lord which doeth all these things.

²⁸ Also we knowe that all thinges worke together for the best vnto them that loue God, euen to them that are called of his purpose.

³¹ What shall we then say to these thinges? If God be on our side, who can be against vs? ³² Who spared not his owne Sonne, but gaue him for vs all to death, how shall he not with him giue vs all things also? ³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of Gods chosen? it is God that iustifieth, ³⁴ Who shall condemne? it is Christ which is dead, yea, or rather, which is risen againe, who is also at the right hand of God, and maketh request also for vs. ³⁵ Who shall separate vs from the loue of Christ? shall tribulation or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakednesse, or perill, or sworde?

¹¹ For yer the children were borne, and when they had neither done good, nor euill (that the purpose of God might remaine according to election, not by workes, but by him that calleth)

² God hath not cast away his people which he knew before. Know ye not what the Scripture sayth of Elias, howe hee communeth with God against Israel, saying,

⁹ Let loue be without dissimulation. Abhorre that which is euill, and cleaue vnto that which is good.

⁹ And let the Gentiles prayse God, for his mercie, as it is written, For this cause I wil confesse thee among the Gentiles, and sing vnto thy Name.

²⁰ Yea, so I enforced my selfe to preach the Gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should haue built on another mans foundation.

² Vnto the Church of God, which is at Corinthus, to them that are sanctified in Christ Iesus, Saintes by calling, with all that call on the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ in euery place, both their Lord, and ours:

¹⁰ According to the grace of God giuen to mee, as a skilfull master builder, I haue laide the foundation, and another buildeth thereon: but let euery man take heede how he buildeth vpon it. ¹¹ For other foundation can no man laie, then that which is laied, which is Iesus Christ.

³ But if any man loue God, the same is knowen of him.

¹ Seing then we haue these promises, dearely beloued, let vs clense our selues from all filthinesse of the flesh and spirit, and finish our sanctification in the feare of God.

⁹ But now seeing ye knowe God, yea, rather are knowen of God, howe turne ye againe vnto impotent and beggerly rudiments, whereunto as from the beginning ye wil be in bondage againe?

²⁰ And are built vpon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Iesus Christ himselfe being the chiefe corner stone,

¹⁵ (Of whom is named the whole familie in heauen and in earth)

¹⁷ This I say therefore and testifie in the Lord, that yee hencefoorth walke not as other Gentiles walke, in vanitie of their minde, ¹⁸ Hauing their vnderstanding darkened, and being strangers from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardnesse of their heart: ¹⁹ Which being past feeling, haue giuen themselues vnto wantonnesse, to woorke all vncleannesse, euen with griedinesse. ²⁰ But yee haue not so learned Christ, ²¹ If so be yee haue heard him, and haue bene taught by him, as the trueth is in Iesus, ²² That is, that yee cast off, concerning the conuersation in time past, that olde man, which is corrupt through the deceiueable lustes,

³⁰ And grieue not the holy Spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed vnto ye day of redemption.

¹ Bee yee therefore followers of God, as deare children, ² And walke in loue, euen as Christ hath loued vs, and hath giuen himselfe for vs, to be an offering and a sacrifice of a sweete smellling sauour to God. ³ But fornication, and all vncleannesse, or couetousnesse, let it not be once named among you, as it becommeth Saintes, ⁴ Neither filthinesse, neither foolish talking, neither iesting, which are things not comely, but rather giuing of thankes. ⁵ For this ye know, that no whoremonger, neither vncleane person, nor couetous person, which is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdome of Christ, and of God. ⁶ Let no man deceiue you with vaine wordes: for, for such thinges commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of disobedience. ⁷ Be not therefore companions with them. ⁸ For ye were once darkenesse, but are nowe light in the Lord: walke as children of light, ⁹ (For the fruit of the Spirit is in al goodnes, and righteousnes, and trueth) ¹⁰ Approuing that which is pleasing to the Lord. ¹¹ And haue no fellowship with ye vnfruitfull works of darknes, but euen reproue them rather.

⁵ Mortifie therefore your members which are on the earth, fornication, vncleannes, the inordinate affection, euill concupiscence, and couetousnes which is idolatrie. ⁶ For the which things sake ye wrath of God commeth on the children of disobedience. ⁷ Wherein ye also walked once, when ye liued in them. ⁸ But now put ye away euen all these things, wrath, anger, maliciousnes, cursed speaking, filthie speaking, out of your mouth.

¹⁹ Laying vp in store for themselues a good foundation against the time to come, that they may obteine eternall life.

¹¹ For that grace of God, that bringeth saluation vnto all men, hath appeared, ¹² And teacheth vs that we should denie vngodlinesse and worldly lusts, and that we should liue soberly and righteously, and godly in this present world, ¹³ Looking for that blessed hope, and appearing of that glorie of that mightie God, and of our Sauiour Iesus Christ, ¹⁴ Who gaue him selfe for vs, that hee might redeeme vs from all iniquitie, and purge vs to bee a peculiar people vnto himselfe, zealous of good woorkes.

¹⁸ That by two immutable things, wherein it is vnpossible that God should lye, we might haue strong consolation, which haue our refuge to lay holde vpon that hope that is set before vs, ¹⁹ Which hope we haue, as an ancre of the soule, both sure and stedfast, and it entreth into that which is within the vaile,

¹⁰ For he looked for a citie hauing a foundation, whose builder and maker is God.

¹³ Wherefore, girde vp the Ioynes of your minde: bee sober, and trust perfectly on that grace that is brought vnto you, in the reuelation of Iesus Christ, ¹⁴ As obedient children, not fashioning your selues vnto the former lustes of your ignorance: ¹⁵ But as hee which hath called you, is holie, so be yee holie in all maner of conuersation; ¹⁶ Because it is written, Be yee holie, for I am holie. ¹⁷ And if ye call him Father, which without respect of person iudgeth according to euery mans woorke, passe the time of your dwelling here in feare, ¹⁸ Knowing that yee were not redeemed with corruptible things, as siluer and golde, from your vaine conuersation, receiued by the traditions of the fathers, ¹⁹ But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lambe vndefiled, and without spot.

⁴ Whereby most great and precious promises are giuen vnto vs, that by them ye should be partakers of the diuine nature, in that ye flee the corruption, which is in the worlde through lust. ⁵ Therefore giue euen all diligence thereunto: ioyne moreouer vertue with your faith: and with vertue, knowledge: ⁶ And with knowledge, temperance: and with temperance, patience: and with patience, godlines: ⁷ And with godlines, brotherly kindnes: and with brotherly kindnes, loue. ⁸ For if these things be among you, and abound, they will make you that ye neither shalbe idle, nor vnfruitfull in the acknowledging of our Lord Iesus Christ: ⁹ For he that hath not these things, is blinde, and can not see farre off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his olde sinnes. ¹⁰ Wherefore, brethren, giue rather diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye doe these things, ye shall neuer fall.

¹⁴ Wherefore, beloued, seeing that yee looke for such thinges, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot and blamelesse.

¹⁹ They went out from vs, but they were not of vs: for if they had bene of vs, they should haue continued with vs. But this cometh to passe, that it might appeare, that they are not all of vs.

⁷ Litle children, let no man deceiue you: he that doeth righteousnes, is righteous, as hee is righteous. ⁸ He that comitteth sinne, is of the deuil: for the deuill sinneth from the beginning: for this purpose was made manifest that Sonne of God, that he might loose the workes of the deuil. ⁹ Whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: for his seede remaineth in him, neither can hee sinne, because he is borne of God. ¹⁰ In this are the children of God knowen, and the children of the deuil: whosoeuer doeth not righteousnesse, is not of God, neither he that loueth not his brother.

¹³ I knowe thy workes and where thou dwellest, euen where Satans throne is, and thou keepest my Name, and hast not denied my faith, euen in those dayes when Antipas my faithfull martyr was slaine among you, where Satan dwelleth.

⁸ I knowe thy workes: beholde, I haue set before thee an open doore, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a litle strength and hast kept my worde, and hast not denied my Name.

⁸ The beast that thou hast seene, was, and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomles pit, and shall goe into perdition, and they that dwell on the earth, shall wonder (whose names are not written in the booke of life from the foundation of ye world) when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

¹⁴ And the wall of the citie had twelue foundations, and in them the Names of the Lambes twelue Apostles.

⁴ And they shall see his face, and his Name shalbe in their foreheads.
