¹¹ But Naaman was wroth and went away, and sayde, Beholde, I thought with my selfe, Hee will surely come out, and stande, and call on the Name of the Lord his God and put his hand on the place, and heale the leprosie.

³² For ease slaieth the foolish, and the prosperitie of fooles destroyeth them.

⁷ Be not wise in thine owne eyes: but feare the Lord, and depart from euill.

¹⁰ Onely by pride doeth man make contention: but with the well aduised is wisdome.

²¹ For seeing the worlde by wisedome knewe not God in the wisedome of GOD, it pleased God by the foolishnesse of preaching to saue them that beleeue: ²² Seeing also that the Iewes require a signe, and the Grecians seeke after wisdome. ²³ But wee preach Christ crucified: vnto the Iewes, euen a stumbling blocke, and vnto the Grecians, foolishnesse: ²⁴ But vnto them which are called, both of the Iewes and Grecians, we preach Christ, the power of God, and the wisedome of God. ²⁵ For the foolishnesse of God is wiser then men, and the weakenesse of God is stronger then men.

¹⁴ But the naturall man perceiueth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishnesse vnto him: neither can hee knowe them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ But hee that is spirituall, discerneth all things: yet he himselfe is iudged of no man. ¹⁶ For who hath knowen the minde of the Lord, that hee might instruct him? But we haue the minde of Christ.

¹⁸ Let no man deceiue himselfe: If any man among you seeme to be wise in this world, let him be a foole, that he may be wise. ¹⁹ For the wisdome of this worlde is foolishnesse with God: for it is written, He catcheth the wise in their owne craftinesse. ²⁰ And againe, The Lord knoweth that the thoughtes of the wise be vaine.

²⁵ See that ye despise not him that speaketh: for if they escaped not which refused him, that spake on earth: much more shall we not escape, if we turne away from him, that speaketh from heauen.
