¹⁴ I will therefore that the yonger women marie, and beare children, and gouerne the house, and giue none occasion to the aduersary to speake euill.

⁶ Then Abraham made haste into the tent vnto Sarah, and saide, Make ready at once three measures of fine meale: kneade it, and make cakes vpon the hearth.

⁹ Then they saide to him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he answered, Beholde, she is in the tent.

¹⁴ Howbeit because by this deede thou hast caused the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the childe that is borne vnto thee shall surely die.

¹ A wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish destroyeth it with her owne handes.

²⁷ She ouerseeth the wayes of her housholde, and eateth not the bread of ydlenes. ²⁸ Her children rise vp, and call her blessed: her husband also shall prayse her, saying, ²⁹ Many daughters haue done vertuously: but thou surmountest them all.

⁴ Wherefore the rulers and gouernours sought an occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdome: but they could finde none occasion nor fault: for he was so faithfull that there was no blame nor fault found in him.

³⁵ And the people stoode, and behelde: and the rulers mocked him with them, saying, He saued others: let him saue himselfe, if hee be that Christ, the Chosen of God. ³⁶ The souldiers also mocked him, and came and offered him vineger, ³⁷ And said, If thou be the King of the Iewes, saue thy selfe. ³⁸ And a superscription was also written ouer him, in Greeke letters, and in Latin, and in Hebrewe, THIS IS THAT KING OF THE JEWES. ³⁹ And one of the euill doers, which were hanged, railed on him, saying, If thou be that Christ, saue thy selfe and vs. ⁴⁰ But the other answered, and rebuked him, saying, Fearest thou not God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? ⁴¹ We are in deede righteously here: for we receiue things worthy of that we haue done: but this man hath done nothing amisse.

¹³ Let vs not therefore iudge one another any more: but vse your iudgement rather in this, that no man put an occasion to fall, or a stumbling blocke before his brother.

⁸ Therefore I say vnto the vnmaried, and vnto the widowes, It is good for them if they abide euen as I doe. ⁹ But if they cannot abstaine, let them marrie: for it is better to marrie then to burne.

¹² But what I doe, that will I doe: that I may cut away occasion from them which desire occasion, that they might be found like vnto vs in that wherein they reioyce.

⁸ I will therefore that the men pray, euery where lifting vp pure hands without wrath, or douting.

³ Forbidding to marrie, and commanding to abstaine from meates which God hath created to be receiued with giuing thankes of them which beleeue and knowe the trueth.

¹¹ But refuse the yonger widowes: for when they haue begun to waxe wanton against Christ, they will marrie,

¹ Let as many seruaunts as are vnder the yoke, count their masters worthie of all honour, that the Name of God, and his doctrine be not euill spoken of.

⁵ That they be temperate, chaste, keeping at home, good and subiect vnto their husbands, that the word of God be not euill spoken of.

⁸ And with the wholesome woorde, which can not be condemned, that hee which withstandeth, may be ashamed, hauing nothing concerning you to speake euill of.

⁴ Mariage is honorable among all, and the bed vndefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will iudge.

¹⁴ If yee be railed vpon for the Name of Christ, blessed are ye: for the spirit of glory, and of God resteth vpon you: which on their part is euill spoken of: but on your part is glorified. ¹⁵ But let none of you suffer as a murtherer, or as a thiefe, or an euil doer, or as a busibodie in other mens matters.
