¹⁰ And let them first be proued: then let them minister, if they be found blameles.

¹ And in those dayes, as the nomber of ye disciples grewe, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians towards ye Hebrewes, because their widowes were neglected in the dayly ministring. ² Then the twelue called the multitude of the disciples together, and sayd, It is not meete that we should leaue the worde of God to serue the tables.

⁸ Who shall also confirme you vnto the ende, that ye may be blamelesse, in the day of our Lord Iesus Christ.

²² In that body of his flesh through death, to make you holy, and vnblameable and without fault in his sight,

² A Bishop therefore must be vnreproueable, the husband of one wife, watching, temperate, modest, harberous, apt to teache,

⁶ He may not be a yong scholer, lest he being puffed vp fall into the condemnation of the deuill.

¹³ For they that haue ministred well, get them selues a good degree, and great libertie in the faith, which is in Christ Iesus.

²² Lay handes suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other mens sinnes: keepe thy selfe pure.

⁶ If any be vnreproueable, the husband of one wife, hauing faithfull children, which are not slandered of riot, neither are disobedient. ⁷ For a Bishop must bee vnreproueable, as Gods steward, not froward, not angrie, not giuen to wine, no striker, not giuen to filthie lucre,

¹ Dearely beloued, beleeue not euery spirit, but trie the spirits whether they are of God: for many false prophets are gone out into this worlde.
