⁷ It suffreth all things: it beleeueth all things: it hopeth all things: it endureth all things.

¹² Haue I conceiued al this people? or haue I begotte them, that thou shouldest say vnto me, Cary them in thy bosome (as a nurse beareth the sucking childe) vnto the lande, for the which thou swarest vnto their fathers? ¹³ Where should I haue flesh to giue vnto al this people? for they weepe vnto me, saying, Giue vs flesh that we may eate. ¹⁴ I am not able to beare al this people alone, for it is too heauie for me.

⁹ And I spake vnto you the same time, saying, I am not able to beare you my selfe alone:

¹⁵ Loe, though he slay me, yet will I trust in him, and I will reprooue my wayes in his sight.

⁶⁶ Teach me good iudgement and knowledge: for I haue beleeued thy commandements.

¹² Hatred stirreth vp contentions: but loue couereth all trespasses.

⁶ Set mee as a seale on thine heart, and as a signet vpon thine arme: for loue is strong as death: ielousie is cruel as the graue: the coles thereof are fierie coles, and a vehement flame. ⁷ Much water can not quench loue, neither can the floods drowne it: If a man should giue all the substance of his house for loue, they would greatly contemne it.

²² And yee shall be hated of all men for my Name: but he that endureth to the end, he shall be saued.

³⁷ And beholde, a woman in the citie, which was a sinner, when she knewe that Iesus sate at table in the Pharises house, shee brought a boxe of oyntment. ³⁸ And shee stoode at his feete behinde him weeping, and began to wash his feete with teares, and did wipe them with the heares of her head, and kissed his feete, and anoynted them with the oyntment. ³⁹ Nowe when the Pharise which bade him, saw it, he spake within himselfe, saying, If this man were a Prophet, hee woulde surely haue knowen who, and what maner of woman this is which toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

⁴⁴ Then he turned to the woman, and said vnto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entred into thine house, and thou gauest mee no water to my feete: but she hath washed my feete with teares, and wiped them with the heares of her head. ⁴⁵ Thou gauest me no kisse: but she, since the time I came in, hath not ceased to kisse my feete. ⁴⁶ Mine head with oyle thou didest not anoint: but she hath anoynted my feete with oyntment.

⁴ Wherefore he ranne before, and climed vp into a wilde figge tree, that he might see him: for he should come that way. ⁵ And when Iesus came to the place, he looked vp, and saw him, and said vnto him, Zaccheus, come downe at once: for to day I must abide at thine house. ⁶ Then he came downe hastily, and receiued him ioyfully. ⁷ And when all they sawe it, they murmured, saying, that hee was gone in to lodge with a sinfull man. ⁸ And Zaccheus stood forth, and said vnto the Lord, Beholde, Lord, the halfe of my goods I giue to the poore: and if I haue taken from any man by forged cauillation, I restore him foure folde. ⁹ Then Iesus said to him, This day is saluation come vnto this house, forasmuch as hee is also become the sonne of Abraham. ¹⁰ For the Sonne of man is come to seeke, and to saue that which was lost.

²⁴ For we are saued by hope: but hope that is seene, is not hope: for how can a man hope for that which he seeth?

¹ We which are strong, ought to beare the infirmities of the weake, and not to please our selues.

¹² If others with you bee partakers of this power, are not we rather? neuerthelesse, we haue not vsed this power: but suffer all things, that we should not hinder the Gospel of Christ.

¹⁸ What is my reward then? verely that when I preach the Gospel, I make the Gospel of Christ free, that I abuse not mine authoritie in ye Gospel. ¹⁹ For though I bee free from all men, yet haue I made my selfe seruant vnto all men, that I might winne the moe. ²⁰ And vnto the Iewes, I become as a Iewe, that I may winne the Iewes: to them that are vnder the Lawe, as though I were vnder the Lawe, that I may winne them that are vnder the Lawe: ²¹ To them that are without Lawe, as though I were without Lawe, (when I am not without Lawe as pertaining to God, but am in the Lawe through Christ) that I may winne them that are without Lawe: ²² To the weake I become as weake, that I may winne the weake: I am made all thinges to all men, that I might by all meanes saue some.

⁴ Loue suffreth long: it is bountifull: loue enuieth not: loue doeth not boast it selfe: it is not puffed vp:

⁸ I robbed other Churches, and tooke wages of them to doe you seruice. ⁹ And when I was present with you, and had neede, I was not slouthfull to the hinderance of any man: for that which was lacking vnto me, the brethre which came from Macedonia, supplied, and in all thinges I kept and will keepe my selfe, that I should not be grieuous to you. ¹⁰ The trueth of Christ is in me, that this reioycing shall not be shut vp against me in the regions of Achaia. ¹¹ Wherefore? because I loue you not? God knoweth. ¹² But what I doe, that will I doe: that I may cut away occasion from them which desire occasion, that they might be found like vnto vs in that wherein they reioyce.

² Beare ye one anothers burden, and so fulfill the Lawe of Christ.

⁴ So that we our selues reioyce of you in the Churches of God, because of your patience and faith in al your persecutions and tribulatios that ye suffer,

³ Thou therefore suffer affliction as a good souldier of Iesus Christ. ⁴ No man that warreth, entangleth himselfe with the affaires of this life, because he woulde please him that hath chosen him to be a souldier. ⁵ And if any man also striue for a Masterie, he is not crowned, except he striue as he ought to doe. ⁶ The husbandman must labour before he receiue the fruites. ⁷ Consider what I say: and the Lord giue thee vnderstanding in all things: ⁸ Remember that Iesus Christ, made of the seede of Dauid, was raysed againe from the dead according to my Gospel, ⁹ Wherein I suffer trouble as an euill doer, euen vnto bondes: but the worde of God is not bounde. ¹⁰ Therefore I suffer all things, for the elects sake, that they might also obtaine the saluation which is in Christ Iesus, with eternall glorie.

²⁴ But the seruant of ye Lord must not striue, but must be gentle toward all men, apt to teache, suffering the euill,

¹¹ Persecutions, and afflictions which came vnto me at Antiochia, at Iconium, and at Lystri, which persecutions I suffered: but from them all the Lord deliuered me.

⁵ But watch thou in all thinges: suffer aduersitie: doe the worke of an Euangelist: cause thy ministerie to be throughly liked of.

¹³ Let vs goe foorth to him therefore out of the campe, bearing his reproch.

¹² Blessed is ye man, that endureth tentation: for when he is tried, hee shall receiue the crowne of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that loue him.

²⁴ Who his owne selfe bare our sinnes in his body on the tree, that we being dead to sinne, should liue in righteousnesse: by whose stripes ye were healed.

⁸ But aboue all thinges haue feruent loue among you: for loue shall couer the multitude of sinnes.
