¹⁶ He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: his bread shall be given [him]; his waters shall be sure.

³³ He maketh my feet like hinds’ [feet]: and setteth me upon my high places,

¹ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. ² I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. ³ For he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. ⁴ He shall cover thee with his pinions, and under his wings shalt thou take refuge: his truth is a shield and a buckler. ⁵ Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day; ⁶ For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. ⁷ A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee. ⁸ Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked. ⁹ For thou, O LORD, art my refuge! thou hast made the Most High thy habitation; ¹⁰ There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.

¹⁴ Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

⁴¹ Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like a flock.

⁵ He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

³³ But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell securely, and shall be quiet without fear of evil.

¹⁰ The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

⁴ For thou hast been a strong hold to the poor, a strong hold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

¹ In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks. ² Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth truth may enter in. ³ Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. ⁴ Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is an everlasting rock. ⁵ For he hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city: he layeth it low, he layeth it low even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

¹⁸ And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

¹⁹ Jehovah, the Lord, is my strength, and he maketh my feet like hinds’ [feet], and will make me to walk upon mine high places. For the Chief Musician, on my stringed instruments.

²⁹ And seek not ye what ye shall eat, and what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. ³⁰ For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. ³¹ Howbeit seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you.
