¹⁰ for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye shewed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.

⁴ The Rock, his work is perfect; For all his ways are judgment: A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, Just and right is he.

¹⁹ Remember unto me, O my God, for good, all that I have done for this people.

²² And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember unto me, O my God, this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.

³¹ and for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.

³ Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah

³¹ He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that hath mercy on the needy honoureth him.

¹⁷ He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD, and his good deed will he pay him again.

² Go, and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I remember for thee the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals; how thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. ³ Israel [was] holiness unto the LORD, the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall be held guilty; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

²⁰ Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before thee to speak good for them, to turn away thy fury from them.

⁴² And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

³⁵ for I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in; ³⁶ naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. ³⁷ Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink? ³⁸ And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? ³⁹ And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? ⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, [even] these least, ye did it unto me.

⁴¹ For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink, because ye are Christ’s, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

²⁰ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

⁴⁴ And all that believed were together, and had all things common; ⁴⁵ and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need.

³⁴ For neither was there among them any that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, ³⁵ and laid them at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto each, according as any one had need.

³⁶ Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. ³⁷ And it came to pass in those days, that she fell sick, and died: and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper chamber. ³⁸ And as Lydda was nigh unto Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men unto him, entreating him, Delay not to come on unto us. ³⁹ And Peter arose and went with them. And when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

⁴ And he, fastening his eyes upon him, and being affrighted, said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are gone up for a memorial before God.

³¹ and saith, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

²⁹ And the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren that dwelt in Judaea:

⁴ God forbid: yea, let God be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy words, And mightest prevail when thou comest into judgment. ⁵ But if our unrighteousness commendeth the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who visiteth with wrath? (I speak after the manner of men.)

¹³ communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.

²⁵ but now, [I say], I go unto Jerusalem, ministering unto the saints. ²⁶ For it hath been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints that are at Jerusalem. ²⁷ Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it [to them] also to minister unto them in carnal things.

⁴ Love suffereth long, [and] is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, ⁵ doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil; ⁶ rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth; ⁷ beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

¹ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I gave order to the churches of Galatia, so also do ye. ² Upon the first day of the week let each one of you lay by him in store, as he may prosper, that no collections be made when I come. ³ And when I arrive, whomsoever ye shall approve by letters, them will I send to carry your bounty unto Jerusalem:

¹ Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God which hath been given in the churches of Macedonia; ² how that in much proof of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. ³ For according to their power, I bear witness, yea and beyond their power, [they gave] of their own accord, ⁴ beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the saints: ⁵ and [this], not as we had hoped, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God. ⁶ Insomuch that we exhorted Titus, that as he had made a beginning before, so he would also complete in you this grace also. ⁷ But as ye abound in everything, [in] faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and [in] all earnestness, and [in] your love to us, [see] that ye abound in this grace also. ⁸ I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love. ⁹ For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might become rich.

¹ For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:

¹¹ ye being enriched in everything unto all liberality, which worketh through us thanksgiving to God. ¹² For the ministration of this service not only filleth up the measure of the wants of the saints, but aboundeth also through many thanksgivings unto God; ¹³ seeing that through the proving [of you] by this ministration they glorify God for the obedience of your confession unto the gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of [your] contribution unto them and unto all; ¹⁴ while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, long after you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.

¹³ For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only [use] not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another.

¹⁰ So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith.

¹⁶ for even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my need. ¹⁷ Not that I seek for the gift; but I seek for the fruit that increaseth to your account. ¹⁸ But I have all things, and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things [that came] from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.

¹⁷ And whatsoever ye do, in word or in deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labour of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;

⁶ if so be that it is a righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to them that afflict you, ⁷ and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power

¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

¹⁷ but, when he was in Rome, he sought me diligently, and found me ¹⁸ (the Lord grant unto him to find mercy of the Lord in that day); and in how many things he ministered at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

⁸ henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day: and not only to me, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.

⁵ hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints; ⁶ that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in you, unto Christ. ⁷ For I had much joy and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.

¹⁶ But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

¹⁵ If a brother or sister be naked, and in lack of daily food, ¹⁶ and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit? ¹⁷ Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead in itself.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death. ¹⁵ Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. ¹⁶ Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoso hath the world’s goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him? ¹⁸ [My] little children, let us not love in word, neither with the tongue; but in deed and truth.
