⁶⁰ And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

⁵ And at the evening oblation I arose up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my mantle rent; and I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God;

¹⁰ And when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; (now his windows were open in his chamber toward Jerusalem;) and he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

⁴⁴ but I say unto you, Love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you;

⁵² and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised;

²⁸ bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.

Take thought for things honourable in the sight of all men. ¹⁸ If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men. ¹⁹ Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord. ²⁰ But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head. ²¹ Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

³⁰ For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.

⁶ then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep;

¹⁸ Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

²⁰ But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep.

⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

¹³ But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that fall asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the rest, which have no hope. ¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

¹⁰ who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
