¹⁷ Let me not be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon thee; let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be cut off for Sheol.

⁹ He keeps the feet of his saints, and the wicked perish in darkness, for no man shall prevail by their own strength.

¹⁰ All my enemies shall be ashamed; they shall be sorely troubled: they shall turn back and be ashamed suddenly.

² Beth O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me. ³ Gimel Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed; those which rebel without cause shall be ashamed.

A Psalm of David. ¶ In thee, O LORD, have I waited; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in thy righteousness.

⁵ He They looked unto him and were lightened, and their faces were not ashamed.

⁴ Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

²⁶ Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at my hurt; let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.

¹⁴ Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my life to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. ¹⁵ Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.

⁶ Do not let those that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of the hosts, be ashamed for my sake; do not let those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel. ⁷ Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face.

² Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my life; let them be turned backward and put to confusion that desire my hurt. ³ Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

²⁴ In the same manner my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness every day, for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

¹⁶ Fill their faces with shame that they may seek thy name, O LORD. ¹⁷ Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; let them be put to shame and perish

¹⁷ Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would have quickly dwelt with the dead.

¹⁷ The dead shall not praise JAH, neither any that go down into silence.

¹¹ Behold, all those that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded; they shall be as nothing; and those that strive with thee shall perish. ¹² Thou shalt seek them and shalt not find them, even those that contended with thee; those that war against thee shall be as nothing and as a thing of nought.

¹³ Therefore thus has the Lord GOD said, Behold, my slaves shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold, my slaves shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold, my slaves shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: ¹⁴ Behold, my slaves shall rejoice by the joy of their heart, but ye shall cry for the sorrow of your heart and shall howl for the destruction of spirit.

¹¹ But the LORD is with me as a powerful giant; therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper; they shall have everlasting confusion which shall never be forgotten.

² And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall be awakened, some for eternal life, and some for shame and everlasting confusion.

²⁶ And ye shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God that has dealt wondrously with you; and my people shall never again be ashamed. ²⁷ And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel and that I am the LORD your God, and there is none other; and my people shall never be ashamed.

¹² and he said unto him, Friend, how didst thou come in here not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. ¹³ Then the king said to the slaves, Bind him hand and foot and take him away and cast him into the darkness outside; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
