⁵ Let them praise the name of the LORD; for he commanded, and they were created.

¹ ¶ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ² And the earth was without order, and empty; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

⁶ ¶ And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

⁶ By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. ⁷ He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; he lays up the deeps for treasures. ⁸ Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. ⁹ For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it came into being.

⁵ The sea is his, and he made it; and his hands formed the dry land.

¹¹ Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens or the earth, even they shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens. ¹² He that makes the earth by his power, he that orders the world with his wisdom and extends the heavens with his intelligence: ¹³ at his voice, there is given a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causes the clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes the lightnings with the rain and brings forth the wind out of his treasures.

⁶ He that built his degrees in the heaven and has founded his gathering upon the earth; he that calls the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

¹¹ Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and virtue; for thou hast created all things, and by thy will they have their being and were created.
