²⁰ and how the princes of the priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death and crucified him.

¹ ¶ When the morning was come, all the princes of the priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death, ² and when they had bound him, they led him away and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

²⁰ But the princes of the priests and the elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus.

¹ ¶ And straightway in the morning the princes of the priests having held a consultation with the elders and with the scribes and with the whole council, took Jesus away bound and delivered him to Pilate.

⁶⁶ And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the princes of the priests and the scribes came together and led him into their council, saying,

¹³ ¶ Then Pilate, calling together the princes of the priests and the rulers and the people,

¹³ The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus, whom ye delivered up and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he had judged to let him go. ¹⁴ But ye denied the Holy One and the Just and desired a murderer to be granted unto you ¹⁵ and killed the Author of life, whom God has raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

⁸ Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said unto them, Ye princes of the people and elders of Israel, ⁹ if we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole, ¹⁰ be it known unto you all and to all the people of Israel that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole.

²⁷ For of a truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together (in this city), ²⁸ to do that which thy hand and thy counsel had determined beforehand must be done.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew, hanging him on a tree. ³¹ God has exalted him with his right hand as Prince and Saviour, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

²⁷ For those that dwell at Jerusalem and their princes, because they knew him not nor yet the voices of the prophets who are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. ²⁸ And without finding cause of death in him, yet they asked Pilate that he should be slain. ²⁹ And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a sepulchre.
