²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto eternal life,

¹⁴ If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time I will wait until my transformation comes.

²⁵ Teth The LORD is good unto those that wait in him, to the soul that seeks him. ²⁶ Teth It is good to wait quietly in the salvation of the LORD.

⁴² Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. ⁴³ But know this that if the husband of the house knew in what watch the thief would come, he would watch and would not suffer his house to be broken into. ⁴⁴ Therefore be ye also ready; the Son of man is to come in the hour that ye think not. ⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and prudent slave, whom his lord has made ruler over his household to give them food in due season? ⁴⁶ Blessed is that slave whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing. ⁴⁷ Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. ⁴⁸ But and if that evil slave shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming, ⁴⁹ and shall begin to smite his fellowslaves and even to eat and drink with the drunken, ⁵⁰ the lord of that slave shall come in a day when he does not look for him and in an hour that he is not aware of ⁵¹ and shall cut him off and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

³⁶ and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he comes and knocks, they may open unto him immediately. ³⁷ Blessed are those slaves, whom the lord when he comes shall find watching; verily I say unto you that he shall gird himself and make them to sit down to food and will come forth and serve them. ³⁸ And if he shall come in the second watch or come in the third watch and find them so, blessed are those slaves. ³⁹ And know this: that if the husband of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not have suffered his house to be broken through. ⁴⁰ Be ye therefore ready also; for the Son of man comes at an hour when ye think not.

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth of God came through Jesus, the Christ.

²¹ He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me; and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him and will manifest myself to him.

⁹ ¶ As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love. ¹⁰ If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

²³ Who, when he came and had seen the grace of God, was glad and exhorted them all to remain in their purpose of heart in the Lord.

⁵ and the hope shall not be ashamed, because the love of God is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.

²¹ so that in the same manner as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus, the Christ, our Lord.

²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the grace of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

³⁹ nor height nor depth nor any creature shall be able to separate us from the charity of God, which is in Christ, Jesus our Lord.

⁵ And the Lord make your hearts upright in the charity of God and in the hope of the Christ.

² unto Timothy, true son in the faith, Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chain;

¹⁸ The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day; and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

⁸ from now on there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all those also that have loved his appearing.

¹³ waiting for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto himself a people of his own, zealous of good works.

²⁸ so also the Christ is offered once to take away the sins of many; and unto those that wait for him without sin he shall appear the second time unto saving health.

¹² waiting for and desiring earnestly for the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

¹⁶ In this we have known the charity of God because he laid down his life for us; we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ But whosoever has this world’s goods and sees his brother have need and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how does the charity of God abide in him?

¹⁶ And we have known and believed the charity that God has in us. God is charity, and he that abides in charity abides in God, and God in him.

¹⁰ ¶ He that believes in the Son of God has the witness of God in himself; he that does not believe God has made God a liar; because he does not believe the witness that God has testified of his Son. ¹¹ And this is the witness, that God has given eternal life to us, and this life is in his Son.

¹⁸ ¶ We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

²¹ Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

²⁴ Now unto him that is powerful to keep you without sin and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

¹¹ And they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
