¹⁹ Where is the way to the habitation of the light, and where is the place of the darkness?

³ ¶ And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. ⁴ And God saw that the light was good, and God divided the light from the darkness.

¹⁴ ¶ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for appointed times and for days and years; ¹⁵ and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth; and it was so. ¹⁶ And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also. ¹⁷ And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth ¹⁸ and to rule over the day and over the night and to divide the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.

¹⁹ And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun and the moon and the stars, even all the host of heaven, and should be driven to worship them and serve them because the LORD thy God has conceded them unto all the peoples under all the heavens.

¹² ¶ Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days? Hast thou shown the dayspring its place, ¹³ that it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

¹¹ He made darkness his hiding place; in his tabernacle round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the heavens.

²⁰ Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest move.

²⁸ He sent darkness and made it dark, and they did not rebel against his word.

⁷ I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil: I am the LORD that does all this.

¹⁶ Give glory to the LORD your God before he causes darkness and before your feet stumble in mountains of darkness, and while ye look for light, he turns it into the shadow of death and makes it gross darkness.
