3 And he came to a flock of sheep by the way where there was a cave, and Saul went in to cover his feet, and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.

Judges 3:24
24 When he was gone out, his slaves came; and when they saw that the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Peradventure he covers his feet in his summer chamber.
Psalms 57:1-11
1 To the Overcomer upon,
Do not destroy, Michtam of David, when he fled from the presence of Saul in the cave. ¶ Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in thee; and in the shadow of thy wings I will make my refuge until these calamities are overpast. 2 I will cry unto God most high, unto God that performs all things for me. 3 He shall send from the heavens and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth. 4 My soul is among lions, and I lie even among those that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows and their tongue a sharp sword. 5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. 6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down; they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they are fallen themselves. Selah. 7 ¶ My heart is ready, O God, my heart is willing; I will sing and give praise. 8 Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp; I myself will arise early. 9 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing unto thee among the nations. 10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. 11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

Psalms 141:6
6 Their judges shall be thrown down from strong places; they shall hearken unto my words; for they are sweet.
Psalms 142:1-7
1 Maschil of David;
A Prayer when he was in the cave. ¶ I shall cry unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice shall I ask the LORD for mercy. 2 I shall pour out my complaint before him; before him I shall tell of my trouble. 3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou didst know my path. In the way in which I walked have they secretly laid a snare for me. 4 ¶ I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no one that would know me; I had no refuge; no one cared for my soul. 5 I cried unto thee, O LORD; I said, Thou art my hope and my portion in the land of the living. 6 Attend unto my cry, for I am brought very low; deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I. 7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name; the righteous shall feast with me; when thou shalt have weaned me.
