THE COUNSEL OF HUSHAY
And Achiy Thophel says to Abi Shalom, I pray you that I may choose twelve thousand men and I rise and pursue after David this night: 2 and I come on him - belabored and weak handed; and tremble him: and all the people with him flee; and I smite the sovereign only: 3 and I return all the people to you - return the man you seek and all: - all the people being in shalom. 4 - and the word is right in the eyes of Abi Shalom and in the eyes of all the elders of Yisra El.

Proverbs 1:11-19

11 if they say, Come with us, we lurk for blood, we hide out gratuitously for the innocent; 12 we swallow them alive as sheol; the integrious, as those who descend into the well; 13 we find all esteemed wealth; we fill our houses with spoil; 14 fell your pebble among us; we all have one pouch! 15 - my son, walk not in the way with them; withhold your foot from their path: 16 for their feet run to evil and hasten to pour blood. 17 Surely the net is winnowed gratuitously in the eye of any master of wing: 18 they lurk for their own blood; they hide out for their own souls: 19 thus are the ways of all the greedy of greed; who take away the soul of their masters.
