⁶ Oblate the rod of Levi and stand them at the face of Aharon the priest to minister to him.

²⁶ and Mosheh stands in the portal of the camp and says, Who is on the side of Yah Veh? Come to me. - and all the sons of Levi gather to him. ²⁷ And he says to them, Thus says Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El: Every man put his sword by his flank and pass in and turn from portal to portal throughout the camp and slaughter every man his brother and every man his companion and every man his near friend. ²⁸ And the sons of Levi work according to the word of Mosheh: and there fall of the people that day about three thousand men. ²⁹ And Mosheh says, Fill your hands today to Yah Veh, because man is against his son and against his brother; that he give you a blessing this day.

⁴⁹ Neither muster the rod of Levi, nor lift their heads among the sons of Yisra El: ⁵⁰ and the Leviym oversee over the tabernacle of witness and over all the instruments thereof and over all who belong to it: they bear the tabernacle and all the instruments thereof; and they minister unto it and encamp all around the tabernacle: ⁵¹ and when the tabernacle pulls stakes, the Leviym lower it: and when the tabernacle encamps, the Leviym raise it: and deathify the stranger who approaches. ⁵² And the sons of Yisra El encamp - every man by his own camp and every man by his own banner throughout their hosts: ⁵³ and the Leviym encamp all around the tabernacle of witness, that no rage become upon the witness of the sons of Yisra El: and the Leviym guard the guard of the tabernacle of witness:

¹⁷ Then the tent of the congregation pulls stakes with the camp of the Leviym midst the camp: as they encamp, thus they pull stakes, man - every man at hand by their banners.

³³ And the Leviym are not mustered among the sons of Yisra El - as Yah Veh misvahed Mosheh.

⁶ Take the Leviym from among the sons of Yisra El and purify them: ⁷ and work thus to them, to purify them: sprinkle water for the sin on them: and they pass a razor over all their flesh and launder their clothes and thus purify themselves. ⁸ And take a bullock son of the oxen and its offering and flour mixed with oil: and take a second bullock son of the oxen for the sin; ⁹ and oblate the Leviym at the face of the tent of the congregation: and congregate the witness of the sons of Yisra El: ¹⁰ and oblate the Leviym at the face of Yah Veh: and the sons of Yisra El prop their hands on the Leviym: ¹¹ and Aharon waves the Leviym at the face of Yah Veh for a wave of the sons of Yisra El, to serve the service of Yah Veh. ¹² And the Leviym prop their hands on the heads of the bullocks: and you work the one for the sin and the one for a holocaust to Yah Veh, to kapar/atone for the Leviym: ¹³ and stand the Leviym at the face of Aharon and at the face of his sons and wave them for a wave to Yah Veh. ¹⁴ Thus you separate the Leviym from among the sons of Yisra El: and the Leviym become mine. ¹⁵ And afterward the Leviym go in to serve the service of the tent of the congregation: and you purify them and wave them for a wave. ¹⁶ For in giving, they are given to me from among the sons of Yisra El: instead of every burster of the womb of the firstbirths of all the sons of Yisra El, I take them to me. ¹⁷ For all the firstbirth of the sons of Yisra El are mine, - human and animal: on the day I smote every firstbirth in the land of Misrayim I hallow them for myself: ¹⁸ and I take the Leviym instead of all the firstbirths of the sons of Yisra El: ¹⁹ and I give the Leviym - give to Aharon and to his sons from among the sons of Yisra El, to serve the service of the sons of Yisra El in the tent of the congregation; and to kapar/atone for the sons of Yisra El: that there be no plague among the sons of Yisra El when the sons of Yisra El approach the holies. ²⁰ And Mosheh and Aharon and all the witness of the sons of Yisra El, work to the Leviym according to all Yah Veh misvahs Mosheh concerning the Leviym, thus worked the sons of Yisra El to them. ²¹ And the Leviym - for the sin, launder their clothes; and Aharon waves them - a wave at the face of Yah Veh; and Aharon kapars/atones for them to purify them. ²² And afterward the Leviym go in to serve their service in the tent of the congregation at the face of Aharon and at the face of his sons: as Yah Veh misvahed Mosheh concerning the Leviym, thus they work to them. ²³ And Yah Veh words to Mosheh, saying, ²⁴ This is for the Leviym from a son of twenty-five years and upward: they go in to host the hosting of the tent of the congregation: ²⁵ and a son of fifty years they turn away from hosting the service to serve no more: ²⁶ but minister with their brothers in the tent of the congregation to guard the guard, but serve no service. Work thus to the Leviym regarding their guard.

⁹ seems it but petty to you, that Elohim of Yisra El separated you from the witness of Yisra El to oblate you to himself - to serve the service of the tabernacle of Yah Veh and to stand at the face of the witness to minister to them? ¹⁰ Yes, he has you approach him - you and all your brothers the sons of Levi with you - and seek you the priesthood also? ¹¹ Thus you and all your witness congregate against Yah Veh: and what is Aharon, that you murmur against him?

And Yah Veh says to Aharon, You, with your sons and the house of your father bear the perversity of the holies: and you, with your sons bear the perversity of your priesthood: ² and also your brothers of the rod of Levi, the scion of your father, oblate with you: they join to you and minister to you: and you, with your sons at the face of the tent of witness: ³ and they guard your guard and the guard of all the tent: only they approach not the instruments of the holies and the sacrifice altar so that they not die - neither they, nor you: ⁴ and they join you and guard the guard of the tent of the congregation, for all the service of the tent so that no stranger approaches you: ⁵ and guard the guard of the holies and the guard of the sacrifice altar so that there be no more rage on the sons of Yisra El. ⁶ And I - behold, I take your brothers the Leviym from among the sons of Yisra El: and give them to you, a gift for Yah Veh, to serve the service of the tent of the congregation. ⁷ And you, with your sons, guard your priesthood for every word of the sacrifice altar and the housing of the veil - and you serve: I give you priesthood, a service of gift: and deathify the stranger who approaches.

⁸ At that time Yah Veh separated the scion of Levi, to bear the ark of the of Yah Veh, to stand at the face of Yah Veh to minister to him and to bless in his name - to this day.

⁸ And of Levi he says, Your Thummim and your Urim be with your men of mercy, whom you tested at Massah/Testing and with whom you strove at the waters of Meribah/Strife: ⁹ who says to his father and to his mother, I saw him not: he neither recognized his brothers nor knew his own sons: for they guarded your sayings and guarded your covenant.

⁴ And you know I send this misvah to you, so that my covenant becomes with Levi, says Yah Veh Sabaoth.
