²⁵ And Yisra El takes all these cities: and Yisra El settles in all the cities of the Emoriy, in Heshbon and in all the daughters thereof. ²⁶ For Heshbon is a city of Sichon the sovereign of the Emoriy, who fought the head sovereign of Moab and takes all his land from his hand, to Arnon.

²⁸ for there a fire goes from Heshbon a flame from the city of Sichon: it consumes Ar of Moab and the masters of the bamahs of Arnon.

And the sons of Reu Ben and the sons of Gad have mighty mighty many chattel: and when they see the land of Yazer and the land of Gilad, and behold, the place is a place for chattel;

³⁴ And the sons of Gad build Dibon and Ataroth and Aroer ³⁵ and Atroth, Shophan and Yazer and Jogbehah ³⁶ and Beth Nimrah and Beth Ha Ran - fortified cities: and walls for flocks. ³⁷ And the sons of Reu Ben build Heshbon and El Aleh and Qiryathaim ³⁸ and Nebo and Baal Meon - their names being turned around and Sibmah: and calls names to the cities they build by name.

¹⁷ Heshbon and all her cities in the plain; Dibon and Bahmah Baal and Beth Baal Meon

¹⁹ and Kirjathaim and Sibmah and Sereth Hash Shachar in the mount of the valley;

²⁶ - while Yisra El settles in Heshbon and her daughters and in Aroer and her daughters and in all the cities along by the hand of Arnon for three hundred years? Why rescue you not them within that time?

²² And you gave them sovereigndoms and people and allotted them to the edges: and they possessed the land of Sichon and the land of the sovereign of Heshbon and the land of Og sovereign of Bashan:

⁶ For the waters of Nimrim are desolations: for the hay withers away, the sprout finishes off; there is no green.

⁸ Because the fields of Heshbon languish - the vine of Sibmah: the masters of the goyim hammer the grapevines - they touch to Yazer; they wander through the wilderness: abandon her branches; they pass over the sea. ⁹ So I weep with the weeping of Yazer the vine of Sibmah: I saturate you with my tears, O Heshbon and El Aleh: for the shouting for your summer fruits and for your harvest is fallen:

² The halal of Moab is no more: in Heshbon they fabricated evil against it. Come, and we cut it off from a goyim. Also you, O Madmen, are severed; the sword goes after you.

³² O vine of Sibmah, I weep for you with the weeping of Yazer: your tendrils pass over the sea; they touch to the sea of Yazer: the ravager falls on your summer fruits and on your crop:

³⁴ From the cry of Heshbon to El Aleh; and to Yahsah they give their voice: from Soar to Horonaim, a heifer of three: for even the waters of Nimrim become desolations:

⁴⁵ They who flee stand under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: for a fire comes from Heshbon and a flame from within Sichon and consumes the edge of Moab, and the scalp of the sons of uproar.
