¹⁰ but I willed to not hearken to Bilam: and in blessing, he blessed you: thus I delivered you from his hand.

¹¹ behold, a people comes from Misrayim, who cover the eye of the earth: go now, curse them for me; perhaps I prevail to fight them and expel them. ¹² And Elohim says to Bilam, Go not with them. Curse not the people: for they are blessed.

¹⁸ And Bilam answers and says to the servants of Balaq, If Balaq give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot trespass the mouth of Yah Veh my Elohim, to work less or greater: ¹⁹ and now, I beseech you, settle you also here this night, so that I know what Yah Veh adds to word to me. ²⁰
BILAM AND THE ANGEL OF YAH VEH
And Elohim comes to Bilam at night and says to him, If the men come to call you, rise and go with them; and work the word I word to you.

³⁵ And the angel of Yah Veh says to Bilam, Go with the men: finally, word the word I word to you. - and Bilam goes with the governors of Balaq.

³ And Bilam says to Balaq, Stand by your holocaust and I go: perhaps Yah Veh happens to meet me: and whatever word he has me see, I tell you. And he goes to the barrens ⁴ and Elohim happens on Bilam, and he says to him, I arrange seven sacrifice altars and I holocaust a bullock and a ram on every sacrifice altar. ⁵ And Yah Veh puts a word in the mouth of Bilam, and says, Return to Balaq and word thus. ⁶ And he returns to him, and behold, he stations himself by his holocaust - he and all the governors of Moab: ⁷ and he lifts his proverb, and says, Balaq the sovereign of Moab leads me from Aram - from the mountains of the east, Go, curse Yaaqov for me! And go, enrage Yisra El! ⁸ How pierce I whom El curses not? Or how enrage I whom Yah Veh enrages not? ⁹ For from the top of the rocks I see him and from the hills I observe him: behold, the people tabernacle alone and are not fabricated among the goyim. ¹⁰ Who numbers the dust of Yaaqov? And the number of the fourth of Yisra El? Let my soul die the death of the straight and let my finality be like his! ¹¹ And Balaq says to Bilam, What work you to me? I take you to curse my enemies; and behold, in blessing, you bless them. ¹² And he answers and says, Guard I not to word what Yah Veh puts in my mouth?

¹⁵ And he says to Balaq, Stand thus by your holocaust, while I happen over there. ¹⁶ And Yah Veh happens on Bilam and puts a word in his mouth, and says, Return to Balaq and word thus. ¹⁷ And he comes to him, and behold, he stations himself by his holocaust and the governors of Moab with him. And Balaq says to him, What words Yah Veh? ¹⁸ And he takes up his proverb and says, Rise, Balaq and hear! Hearken to me, you son of Sippor! ¹⁹ El is neither a man, that he lies; nor the son of humanity, that he sighs: Says he ever, and not work? Or words he ever, and it not rise? ²⁰ Behold, I take to bless: and he blesses and I cannot turn it. ²¹ He neither looks at the mischief in Yaaqov, nor sees the drudgery in Yisra El: Yah Veh his Elohim is with him and the shout of of a sovereign is among them. ²² El brings them from Misrayim; he has as the strength of a reem. ²³ Surely there is neither prognostication against Yaaqov, nor any divination against Yisra El: according to this time it is said of Yaaqov and of Yisra El, What El works! ²⁴ Behold, the people rise as a roaring lion and lift himself as a lion: he lies not down until he eats of the prey and drinks the blood of the pierced. ²⁵ And Balaq says to Bilam, Neither pierce them at all nor bless them at all. ²⁶ And Bilam answers and says to Balaq, Worded I not to you, saying, All Yah Veh words, I work?

⁵ How goodly your tents, O Yaaqov and your tabernacles, O Yisra El! ⁶ As the wadies they spread, as gardens by the side of the river as the aloes Yah Veh plants and as cedar trees beside the waters. ⁷ He flows the water from his pails and his seed is in many waters: and his sovereign is more exalted than Agag and his sovereigndom becomes exalted. ⁸ El brings him from Misrayim; he has as strength of a reem: he eats the goyim his tribulators and craunches their bones and strikes with his arrows. ⁹ He kneels, he lies down as a lion - as a roaring lion - who rouses him? Blessed, he who blesses you and cursed, he who curses you. ¹⁰ And Balaq kindles his wrath against Bilam and he claps his palms together: and Balaq says to Bilam, I call you to curse my enemies, and behold, in blessing, you bless them these three times.

⁵ and Yah Veh your Elohim willed to not hearken to Bilam; but Yah Veh your Elohim turned the abasement to a blessing to you, because Yah Veh your Elohim loved you:

¹⁷ No instrument formed against you prospers; and every tongue rising against you in judgment, you declare wicked. This is the inheritance of the servants of Yah Veh and their justness is of me - an oracle of Yah Veh.
