THE PARABLE OF THE PRECIOUS PEARL
Again, the sovereigndom of the heavens is likened to a human merchant seeking goodly pearls: ⁴⁶ who, when he finds one pearl, vastly precious, goes and sells all - as much as he has and markets it.

⁹ In like manner also that women adorn themselves in cosmic costume with awe and soundmindedness; not in braided hair or gold or pearls or vastly precious garments;

⁴ And the woman is arrayed in purple and scarlet and gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls; having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and impurity of her whoredom:

¹² - the wares of gold and silver and precious stones and of pearls and white linen and purple and silk and scarlet and all incense timber and all vessels of elephantine and all vessels of most precious timber and of copper and iron and marble
