¹⁶ They descend to the veins of sheol, we rest together in the dust.

¹⁷ There the wicked cease from commotion; and there the wearied of force rest; ¹⁸ there the bound relax together; they hear not the voice of the exactor; ¹⁹ the small and great are there; and the servant is liberated from his adoni.

¹³ It devours the strength of his veins - the firstbirthed of death devours his veins. ¹⁴ His confidence is torn from his tent and paces him to the sovereign of terrors.

¹⁸ he spares his soul from the pit of ruin and his life from the passing of the spear; ¹⁹ he is also reproved with sorrow on his bed and the strife of his bones is perennial; ²⁰ his life loathes bread and his soul food of desire; ²¹ his flesh finishes off that it not be seen; and his bones that have not been seen be exposed. ²² Yes, his soul draws near to the pit of ruin and his life to the deathifiers. ²³ If there is an angel with him an interpreter - one among a thousand to tell humanity his straightness, ²⁴ then he grants him charism and says, Rescue him from descending to the pit of ruin; I have found a koper/an atonement. ²⁵ His flesh rejuvinates as ladhood; he returns to the days of his youth; ²⁶ he intreats Elohah and pleases him; he sees his face with shouting; for he restores his justness to man. ²⁷ He observes men, and if any say, I sinned and perverted the straight and it profits me not; ²⁸ he redeems my soul from passing into the pit of ruin and my life sees the light.

⁴ I am fabricated with them descending the well; I - a mighty having no might; ⁵ liberated among the dead as pierced lying in the tomb whom you remember no more: and they are cut off from your hand. ⁶ You place me in the nethermost well - in darkness - in the deeps: ⁷ your fury props on me and you humble me with all your waves. Selah. ⁸ You far removed them whom I know; you place me an abhorrence to them - restrained - I come not forth:

⁷ Answer me hastily, O Yah Veh; my spirit finishes off: hide not your face from me; lest I be as they who descend in the well:

¹⁷ Behold, for shalom I was bitterly embittered: and you attached to my soul from the pit of ruin: for you cast all my sins behind your back. ¹⁸ For neither sheol spreads hands to you, nor death halals you: they who descend into the well expect not your truth.

THE INTERPRETATION
And he says to me, Son of humanity, these bones are the whole house of Yisra El: behold, they say, Our bones withers and our hope destructs: we are cut off for our parts.

⁶ I descend to the bases of the mountains; the earth with her bars around me eternally: yet you ascend my life from the pit of ruin, O Yah Veh my Elohim.

⁹ but we ourselves had the sentence of death in ourselves so that we confided not in ourselves - but in Elohim who raised the dead:
