¹⁶ my face foams with weeping and on my eyelids is the shadow of death;

⁷ and my eye is dim of vexation and all my forms as a shadow;

⁶ I belabor with my sighing; all night my bed swims: I flow my bedstead with my tears; ⁷ my eye is motheaten in vexation - antiquates because of all my tribulators.

⁹ grant me charism, O Yah Veh, for I tribulate; my eye, my soul and my belly are motheaten with vexation.

³ When I hush, my bones become worn through my roaring all day long:

³ I belabored of my calling; my throat scorches; my eyes finish off as I await my Elohim.

³ For my days finish off as smoke and my bones scorch as a burning: ⁴ my heart is smitten and withers as herbage; so that I forget to eat my bread: ⁵ by reason of the voice of my sighing my bones adhere to my flesh:

⁹ For I eat ashes as bread and mix my drink with weeping

³ the cords of death surround me and the straits of sheol find me: I find tribulation and grief:

¹⁴ As many astonish at you; his visage so ruined by man; and his form by the sons of humanity:

¹⁶ I weep for these; my eye - my eye cascades with water, because the sigher to restore my soul is far from me; my sons desolate, for the enemy prevails mightily.

THE PRAYER OF YONAH, THE ANSWER OF YAH VEH
And Yonah prays to Yah Veh his Elohim from the inwards of the fish, ² and says, Because of my tribulation I call to Yah Veh; and he answers me: from the belly of sheol I cry; and you hear my voice: ³ for you cast me into the deep, midst the seas; and the rivers surround me: all your breakers and your waves pass over me. ⁴ Then I - I say, I am expelled from your eyes; yet I look again toward your holy manse: ⁵ the waters surround me to the soul; the abyss surrounds me; the reeds bind around my head: ⁶ I descend to the bases of the mountains; the earth with her bars around me eternally: yet you ascend my life from the pit of ruin, O Yah Veh my Elohim. ⁷ When my soul languishes within me I remember Yah Veh: and my prayer comes in to you - into your holy manse. ⁸ They who observe vain vanities forsake their own mercy; ⁹ and I sacrifice to you with the voice of spread hands; I shalam what I vow: salvation is of Yah Veh. ¹⁰ And Yah Veh says to the fish, and it vomits Yonah on the dry.
