And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer by the wadi Arnon and half mount Gilad and the cities thereof, I gave to the Reu Beniy and to the Gadiy:

¹⁶ and their border is from Aroer on the lip of the wadi Arnon and the city midst the wadi and all the plain by Medeba;

¹⁸ And he went through the wilderness and surrounded the land of Edom and the land of Moab and came by the rising of the sun of the land of Moab and encamped beyond Arnon; but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon is the border of Moab.

⁸ As a bird wandering from her nest, thus a man wandering from his place.

¹⁴ And so be it, as the driven gazelle and as a flock, no one gathers: every man faces his own people and every man flees to his own land:

²⁰ Moab shames; for it is broken down. Howl and cry! Tell it in Arnon, that Moab is ravaged:
