Deuteronomy 7:7-8

7 Yah Veh neither attached himself to you nor chose you because you were more abundant than any people - for you were the fewest of all people: 8 but because of the love of Yah Veh to you and because of guarding the oath he oathed to your fathers, Yah Veh brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from the house of servants - from the hand of Paroh sovereign of Misrayim.

THE TORAH ON APOSTATIZING When you come to the land Yah Veh your Elohim gives you, learn to not work after the abhorrences of those goyim. 10 lest you find any among you who passes his son or his daughter through the fire or a diviner or a cloudgazer or a prognosticater or a sorcerer 11 or a charmer who charms or an inquirer of a necromancer or a knower or an inquirer of the deathified: 12 for all who work these are an abhorrence to Yah Veh: and because of these abhorrences Yah Veh your Elohim dispossesses them from your face. 13 Be integrious with Yah Veh your Elohim: 14 for these goyim, whom you possess, hearken to cloudgazers and to diviners: but as for you, Yah Veh your Elohim gives you not thus.

Ezekiel 36:22

22 So say to the house of Yisra El, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: I work this, not for your sakes, O house of Yisra El, but for sake of my holy name - which you profane among the goyim, wherever you go:

Ezekiel 36:32

32 I work this not for your sakes - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh thus be it known to you: shame and confound for your own ways, O house of Yisra El.
