¹⁷ Neither deviate the judgment of the sojourner nor of the orphan; nor take the clothes of a widow to pledge:

²¹ Neither oppress a sojourner, nor pressure him: for you were sojourners in the land of Misrayim. ²² Humble not any widow or orphan:

²⁶ If in pledging, you pledge the clothes of your friend, return it to him until the sun goes down: ²⁷ for that is his only covering; it is his clothes for his skin: Wherein lies he down? And so be it, when he cries to me, I hearken; for I am charismatic.

² Neither follow many to evil; nor witness in a dispute to deviate many to pervert.

⁶ Deviate not the judgment of your poor in his dispute.

⁹ And oppress not a sojourner: for you know the soul of a sojourner, because you were sojourners in the land of Misrayim.

¹⁷ recognize not faces in judgment; and hear the small as well as the great: fear not the face of man; for the judgment is of Elohim: and for the word that is too hard for you, approach me and I hear it.

¹⁷ for Yah Veh your Elohim - Elohim of elohim and Adonay of adonim, the great El, the mighty and the awesome, who neither lifts faces, nor takes bribes: ¹⁸ who works the judgment of the orphan and widow and loves the sojourner in giving him bread and clothes.

¹⁹ Neither deviate judgment nor recognize faces nor take a bribe: for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the just.

⁶ No man takes the millstone or the upper millstone to pledge: for he takes a soul to pledge.

¹³ in returning, return the pledge to him when the sun goes down, so that he lies down in his own clothes and blesses you: and it becomes your justness at the face of Yah Veh your Elohim.

¹⁹ Cursed he who deviates the judgment of the sojourner, orphan and widow. - and all the people say, Amen.

³ Behold, here am I: answer against me in front of Yah Veh and in front of his anointed: Whose ox took I? Whose he burro took I? Whom extorted I? Whom crushed I? Of whose hand took I a koper/an atonement to veil my eyes therewith? - and I restore it to you. ⁴ And they say, You neither extorted us nor crushed us nor taken aught from the hand of any man.

⁸ The man of arm has the earth and the exalted face settles therein: ⁹ you send widows away empty and crush the arms of the orphan.

¹¹ When the ear heard, it called me blithesome; and when the eye saw, it gave me witness; ¹² because I rescued them who cried - the humble and the orphan and whoever had no helper. ¹³ The blessing of him who was ready to destruct came on me; and I caused the heart of the widow to shout. ¹⁴ I enrobed justness and it enrobed me; my judgment was as a mantle and a turban; ¹⁵ I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame; ¹⁶ - a father to the needy. I probed contentions that I knew not; ¹⁷ I broke the molars of the wicked and cast the prey from his teeth.

¹ A Psalm by Asaph. Elohim stations in the witness of El; he judges among the elohim: ² until when judge you wickedly and lift the faces of the wicked? Selah. ³ Judge the poor and orphan; justify the humble and impoverished; ⁴ slip away the poor and needy; rescue them from the hand of the wicked. ⁵ They neither know nor discern; they walk on in darkness; all the foundations of the earth totter.

³ O Yah Veh, until when the wicked - until when jump the wicked for joy? ⁴ They gush; they word impudence and all the doers of mischief say. ⁵ They crush your people, O Yah Veh, and humble your inheritance; ⁶ they slaughter the widow and the sojourner and murder the orphan:

²⁰ Is the throne of calamity joined with you - which forms toil by a statute? ²¹ They troop against the soul of the just and innocent blood, thet judge wicked:

²² Neither strip the poor, because he is poor; nor crush the humble in the portal; ²³ for Yah Veh defends their defence and defrauds the soul of their defrauders.

⁵ lest they drink and forget the statute and alter the plea of any of the sons of humiliation.

⁸ If you see the oppression of the impoverished and stripping of judgment and justness in a jurisdiction, marvel not at the desire; for he who is high above the high regards - and then the high above them.

²³ your governors revolt - companions of thieves: every one loves bribes and pursues bribes: they neither judge the orphan, nor comes the plea of the widow to them

¹⁵ What mean you, to crush my people? And grind the faces of the humble? - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh Sabaoth.

¹⁵ He who walks in justness and words straightly; he who spurns the gain of oppressions; who shakes his palms from upholding bribes; who shuts his ears from hearing of blood and binds his eyes from seeing evil:

²⁸ they fatten; they shine: yes, they overpass the words of the evil: they plead not the cause - the cause of the orphan, yet they prosper; and the judgment of the needy they judge not.

³ Thus says Yah Veh: Work judgment and justness and rescue the stripped from the hand of the oppressor: and neither wrong nor violate the sojourner, the orphan and the widow; nor pour innocent blood in this place.

⁷ in you they abase father and mother: in your midst they worked oppression with the sojourner: in you they vex the orphan and the widow.

²⁹ The people of the land in oppressing, oppress; and in stripping, strip; and vex the humble and needy: yes, they oppress the sojourner without judgment.

⁷ You who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off justness in the earth, ⁸ seek him who works Kimah and Kesil and turns the shadow of death into the morning and makes the day dark with night: who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them on the face of the earth: Yah Veh is his name: ⁹ - who releases the ravaged against the strong, so that the ravaged come against the fortress. ¹⁰ They hate him who reproves in the portal and they abhor him who words integriously: ¹¹ so because you trample on the poor and take his burdens of grain; you build houses of hewn stone, and you settle not therein; you plant vineyards of desire, and you drink not their wine. ¹² For I know your great rebellions and your mighty sins: they tribulate the just; they take a koper/atonement; and they pervert the needy in the portal.

¹ Ho to them who fabricate mischief - who work evil on their beds! In the light of the morning, they work because it is in the el of their hand: ² and they desire fields and strip them; and houses, and bear them away: and oppress a mighty and his house - even a man and his inheritance.

³ to do evil with both palms well-pleasingly, the governor and the judge ask for satisfaction; and the great words of the mischief of his soul: thus they pervert.

¹⁰ and oppress not widow and orphan, sojourner and humble; and no man of you fabricate evil against his brother in your heart.

⁵ And I approach you for judgment; and I become a hasty witness against the sorcerers and against the adulterers and against false oathers and against those who oppress the hireling in his hire - the widow and the orphan; and who pervert the sojourner and awe me not, says Yah Veh Sabaoth.

¹⁴ And the warriors likewise ask of him, wording, And what do we? And he says to them, Intimidate no one! Sycophant not! And be satisfied with your wages!

⁶ But you dishonor the poor. Is it not the rich who overpower you? And drag you to the judgment?
