¹⁷ And he says, I see all Yisra El scattered on the mountains as flocks with no tender: and Yah Veh says, These have no adoni: return them - every man to his house in shalom.

¹⁶ and David lifts his eyes and sees the angel of Yah Veh stand between the earth and between the heavens, with his sword drawn in his hand spread over Yeru Shalem. - and David and the elders cover in saq and fall on their faces. ¹⁷ And David says to Elohim, Said I not to number the people? Yes, I who sins? Who in vilifying, vilifies? And as for this flock, what worked they? Let your hand, I beseech you, O Yah Veh my Elohim, be on me and on the house of my father; but not on your people, to plague them.

²⁰ I sinned; what do I to you, O you guardian of humanity? Why set me as a target against you, so that I am a burden to myself?

⁶ so I spurn and sigh in dust and ashes.

¹¹ as a flock, you give us for food; and winnow us among the goyim:

² launder me aboundingly from my perversity and purify me from my sin: ³ for I know my rebellions; and my sin is continually in front of me. ⁴ Against you - you only, I sinned and worked this evil in your eyes; so that you are just when you word and pure when you judge. ⁵ Behold, I writhed in perversity; and in sin my mother conceived me.

¹ On Comprehension: By Asaph. O Elohim, why cast us off in perpetuity? why smoke your wrath against the flock of your pasture?

⁵ Then I say, Woe is me! for I am mute; because I am a man of foul lips and I settle midst a people of fouled lips: for my eyes see the Sovereign, Yah Veh Sabaoth.

² Son of humanity, prophesy against the tenders of Yisra El - prophesy, and say to them, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh to the tenders: Ho to the tenders of Yisra El who tend themselves! Tend the tenders not the flocks? ³ You eat the fat and you enrobe with the wool; you sacrifice the fattened: you tend not the flock. ⁴ you neither strengthen the worn nor heal the sick; nor bind the broken nor restore the expelled; nor seek you the lost: and with severity and with tyranny you subjugate them. ⁵ And because there is no tender, they scatter: and they become food to all the live beings of the field; yes, they scatter. ⁶ My flock errs inadvertently through all the mountains and on every high hill: yes, my flock scatters on all the face of the earth; and no one searches or seeks.

²³ and I raise one tender over them - my servant David; and he tends them; he tends them and he becomes their tender. ²⁴ And I Yah Veh become their Elohim, and my servant David a hierarch among them; I Yah Veh have worded.

⁷ Waken, O sword, against my tender, and against the mighty, my friend - an oracle of Yah Veh Sabaoth: smite the tender, and the flock scatters: and I turn my hand on the belittled.

THE GOOD SHEPHERD PLACES HIS SOUL
I AM the good shepherd; the good shepherd places his soul for the sheep: ¹² and a hireling, not being a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming; and forsakes the sheep, and flees: and the wolf seizes them, and scatters the sheep.
