YAH VEH SABAOTH CUTS A COVENANT WITH DAVID
Now say thus to my servant David, Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth, I took you from the habitation of rest - from after the flock to be eminent over my people - over Yisra El: ⁹ and I am with you wherever you go; and cut off all your enemies from your face: and work you a great name as the name of the great in the earth: ¹⁰ and I set a place for my people Yisra El and plant them to tabernacle in their own place that they neither quiver any more nor that the sons of wickedness add to abase them - as formerly ¹¹ - as from the day I misvahed judges to be over my people Yisra El and rested you from all your enemies: and Yah Veh tells you that he works you a house. ¹² And when your days fulfill and you lie down with your fathers, I raise your seed after you who come from your inwards; and I establish his sovereigndom:

⁷ And Nathan says to David, You are the man! Thus says Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El, I anointed you sovereign over Yisra El and I rescued you from the hand of Shaul; ⁸ and I give you the house of your adoni and the women of your adoni into your bosom and give you the house of Yisra El and of Yah Hudah; and if that be too little, I had added these and those to you.

⁴⁷ Yah Veh lives; blessed - my rock; and exalted - the Elohim of the rock of my salvation. ⁴⁸ El gives avengement for me and brings down the people under me: ⁴⁹ and brings me forth from my enemies. You also lift me on high above them who rise against me: you rescue me from the man of violence. ⁵⁰ So I spread hands to you, O Yah Veh, among the goyim; and I pluck to your name. ⁵¹ He greatens salvation for his sovereign: and works mercy to his anointed - to David and to his seed eternally.

⁴⁸ and thus also says the sovereign, Blessed - Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El, who gives one to settle on my throne this day - my eyes seeing.

⁴ that Yah Veh raise the word he worded concerning me, saying, If your sons guard their way, to walk at my face in truth with all their heart and with all their soul not a man of you is cut off from the throne of Yisra El.

⁴ And you, if you walk at my face, as David your father walked in integrity of heart and in straightness; to work according to all I misvah you and guard my statutes and my judgments;

⁵ because David worked straight in the eyes of Yah Veh and turned not aside from all he misvahed him all the days of his life, except only, in the word of Uri Yah the Hethiy:

³ I beseech you, O Yah Veh, remember, I pray you, how I walked at your face in truth and with a heart at shalom and worked good in your eyes! - and Yechizqi Yah weeps a great weeping.

¹² and riches and honor are at your face and you reign over all; and in your hand is force and might; and in your hand to greaten and to strengthen all. ¹³ And now, our Elohim, we spread hands to you and halal your glorious name. ¹⁴ Yes, because who am I and who are my people, to restrain from volunteering after this sort? For all is from you and from your hand we give you:

²⁰ Yah Veh deals according to my justness; - returns according to the purity of my hands: ²¹ for I guard the ways of Yah Veh - not done wickedly against my Elohim. ²² For all his judgments are in front of me and I turn not aside his statutes from me: ²³ and I am integrious in front of him and I guard myself from my perversity: ²⁴ and Yah Veh returns to me according to my justness - according to the purity of my hands in his eyes.

⁷⁰ He chose David his servant and took him from the flock folds; ⁷¹ after the sucklings, great with young, he brought him to tend Yaaqov his people and Yisra El his inheritance; ⁷² thus he tended them according to the integrity of his heart; and led them by the discernment of his palms.

⁷ return to your rest, O my soul; for Yah Veh deals with you.
