⁸ and the word of Yah Veh comes to me, saying, You poured blood in abundance and worked great wars: you build not a house to my name, because you poured much blood on the earth at my face:

²⁰ and for your sins, purify your clothes and all instruments of skins and all work of goats and all instruments made of timber.

²⁴ and launder your clothes on the seventh day and purify and afterward come into the camp.

⁵ Go and say to my servant David, Thus says Yah Veh, You - build me a house to settle in? ⁶ I settled not in a house from the day I ascended the sons of Yisra El from Misrayim even to this day; and walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. ⁷ In all wherein I walked with all the sons of Yisra El worded I a word with one of the scions of Yisra El, whom I misvahed to tend my people Yisra El, saying, Why not build me a house of cedar? ⁸
YAH VEH SABAOTH CUTS A COVENANT WITH DAVID
Now say thus to my servant David, Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth, I took you from the habitation of rest - from after the flock to be eminent over my people - over Yisra El: ⁹ and I am with you wherever you go; and cut off all your enemies from your face: and work you a great name as the name of the great in the earth: ¹⁰ and I set a place for my people Yisra El and plant them to tabernacle in their own place that they neither quiver any more nor that the sons of wickedness add to abase them - as formerly ¹¹ - as from the day I misvahed judges to be over my people Yisra El and rested you from all your enemies: and Yah Veh tells you that he works you a house.

³ You know how David my father could not build a house to the name of Yah Veh his Elohim at the face of the wars surrounding him on every side, until Yah Veh gave them under the soles of his feet:

⁴ Go and say to David my servant, Thus says Yah Veh, Build me not a house to settle in: ⁵ for I settled not in a house since the day I ascended Yisra El, to this day; and I have been from tent to tent and the tabernacle: ⁶ wherever I walked with all Yisra El, I worded a word to one of the judges of Yisra El whom I misvahed to tend my people, saying, Why build you not me a house of cedars? ⁷ And now you say thus to my servant David, Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth, I take you from the habitation of rest - from after the flock to be eminent over my people Yisra El: ⁸ and I am with you wherever you walk and cut off all your enemies from your face and work you a name as the name of the great men in the earth: ⁹ and I set a place for my people Yisra El and plant them; and they tabernacle in their place and quiver no more; and the sons of wickedness add not to wear them out as at the beginning; ¹⁰ yes, even since the days I misvahed judges over my people Yisra El: and I subdue all your enemies: and I tell you, Yah Veh builds you a house.

³ And Elohim says to me, You, build not a house for my name; because you are a man of war who poured blood.
