⁴ And they that hate thee have made their boasts, in the midst of thy solemnity. They have set up their ensigns for signs,

² All the children of Israel shall camp by their troops, ensigns, and standards, and the houses of their kindreds, round about the tabernacle of the covenant.

¹⁷ For he brought upon them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slew their young men with the sword in the house of his sanctuary, he had no compassion on young man, or maiden, old man or even him that stooped for age, but he delivered them all into his hands.

¹ Strengthen yourselves, ye sons of Benjamin, in the midst of Jerusalem, and sound the trumpet in Thecua, and set up the standard over Bethacarem: for evil is seen out of the north, and a great destruction. ² I have likened the daughter of Sion to a beautiful and delicate woman. ³ The shepherds shall come to her with their flocks: they have pitched their tents against her round about: every one shall feed them that are under his hand. ⁴ Prepare ye war against her: arise, and let us go up at midday: woe unto us, for the day is declined, for the shadows of the evening are grown longer. ⁵ Arise, and let us go up in the night, and destroy her houses.

⁷ Zain. The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath cursed his sanctuary: he hath delivered the walls of the towers thereof into the hand of the enemy: they have made a noise in the house of the Lord, as in the day of a solemn feast.

²⁷ He is the deliverer, and saviour, doing signs and wonders in heaven, and in earth: who hath delivered Daniel out of the lions' den.

¹⁵ When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand.

¹ And there were present, at that very time, some that told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

²⁰ And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed about with an army, then know that the desolation thereof is at hand.

⁶ And he opened his mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heaven.
