²⁰ The praises of David, the son of Jesse, are ended.

¹ Now these are David's last words. David the son of Isai said: The man to whom it was appointed concerning the Christ of the God of Jacob, the excellent psalmist of Israel said:

⁴⁰ Let thistles grow up to me instead of wheat, and thorns instead of barley.

⁶⁴ And thou shalt say: Thus shall Babylon sink, and she shall not rise up from the affliction that I will bring upon her, and she shall be utterly destroyed. Thus far are the words of Jeremias.
