^{3 (55:4)} At the voice of the enemy, and at the tribulation of the sinner. For they have cast iniquities upon me: and in wrath they were troublesome to me.

³ And Absalom answered him: Thy words seem to me good and just. But there is no man appointed by the king to hear thee. And Absalom said:

⁷ And thus said Semei when he cursed the king: Come out, come out, thou man of blood, and thou man of Belial. ⁸ The Lord hath repaid thee for all the blood of the house of Saul: because thou hast usurped the kingdom in his stead, and the Lord hath given the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and behold thy evils press upon thee, because thou art a man of blood.

¹⁹ Said to him: Impute not to me, my lord, the iniquity, nor remember the injuries of thy servant on the day that thou, my lord, the king, wentest out of Jerusalem, nor lay it up in thy heart, O king.

^{5 (12:6)} By reason of the misery of the needy, and the groans of the poor, now will I arise, saith the Lord. I will set him in safety: I will deal confidently in his regard.

⁹ From the face of the wicked who have afflicted me. My enemies have surrounded my soul:

¹² Deliver me not over to the will of them that trouble me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me; and iniquity hath lied to itself.

¹¹ Unjust witnesses rising up have asked me things I knew not.

^{3 (54:5)} For strangers have risen up against me; and the mighty have sought after my soul: and they have not set God before their eyes.

¹¹ Saying: God hath forsaken him: pursue and take him, for there is none to deliver him.

⁸ They have thought and spoken wickedness: they have spoken iniquity on high.

³⁴ Lamed. To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the land, ³⁵ Lamed. To turn aside the judgment of a man before the face of the most High, ³⁶ Lamed. To destroy a man wrongfully in his judgment, the Lord hath not approved.

⁵⁹ And the chief priests and the whole council sought false witness against Jesus, that they might put him to death.
