^{2 (42:3)} My soul hath thirsted after the strong living God; when shall I come and appear before the face of God?

¹⁷ Thrice a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God.

¹⁰ And again he said: By this you shall know, that the Lord, the living God, is in the midst of you, and that he shall destroy, before your sight, the Chanaanite and the Hethite, the Hevite and the Pherezite, the Gergesite also, and the Jebusite, and the Amorrhite.

³ Who will grant me that I might know and find him, and come even to his throne?

⁴ One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.

^{8 (36:9)} They shall be inebriated with the plenty of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the torrent of thy pleasure. ^{9 (36:10)} For with thee is the fountain of life; and in thy light we shall see light.

^{2 (84:3)} my soul longeth and fainteth for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh have rejoiced in the living God.

^{4 (84:5)} Blessed are they that dwell in thy house, O Lord: they shall praise thee for ever and ever.

^{7 (84:8)} For the lawgiver shall give a blessing, they shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion.

^{10 (84:11)} For better is one day in thy courts above thousands. I have chosen to be an abject in the house of my God, rather than to dwell in the tabernacles of sinners.

¹³ For my people have done two evils. They have forsaken me, the fountain of living water, and have digged to themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

¹⁰ But the Lord is the true God: he is the living God, and the everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his threatening.

²⁶ It is decreed by me, that in all my empire and my kingdom, all men dread and fear the God of Daniel. For he is the living and eternal God for ever: and his kingdom shall not be destroyed, and his power shall be for ever.

²⁶ For as the Father hath life in himself, so he hath given to the Son also to have life in himself.

³⁷ And on the last, and great day of the festivity, Jesus stood and cried, saying: If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink.

⁹ For they themselves relate of us, what manner of entering in we had unto you: and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.
